Null and Void is a darkly satirical blend of roguelike, deckbuilding and tower-defence genres. Set in a retrofuturist scifi future, this is a game about doing a terrible job, very well.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The core of Null and Void is built and it works. What we need now is players.
This is a game about how a run feels over dozens of attempts, and no amount of internal testing tells you which cards people actually reach for, which characters they want more of, or which maps they replay. We'd rather build the next year of content with players in the room than guess and find out at launch.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“6 to 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access launches with the complete gameplay loop and part one of the game. Over the following months we'll be adding new maps and locations, new towers, cards and structures, new characters to meet across runs, new events and encounters, and the rest of the story.
The full version is this game with substantially more content in it, not a different game.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Playable start to finish. The full roguelike loop is in, you can:
- build a deck
- chart a route through the branching map
- defend your rig
- approach the Breach and try to win a run.
It launches with 13 maps, 66 cards, and 20 characters, and part one of the story is complete and playable.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We're not planning to change the price when we leave Early Access. Buying in Early Access gets you the full game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're on Discord and you can join from the game's main menu. We're a small team and we read everything. What we're most interested in hearing about: which cards and combos feel strong or useless, which characters you want to see more of, and where runs stop being fun. Player feedback will directly shape which characters and stories we develop further, and we'll be posting about what we're building and why as we go.”

About This Game

DEEP IN DEBT? VEXCORP BELIEVES IN SECOND CHANCES.

Through the Resource Acquisition Technician program, VEXcorp delivers opportunity to the galaxy's most needy. Qualified applicants receive a mining rig and exclusive access to interdimensional crystal deposits across the sector. Process valuable resources, clear your debts, finally contribute to society, and even retire wealthy!

Apply for the R.A.T. program today!

Terms and conditions apply. Quota is non-negotiable. Retirement subject to eligibility.

TRAVEL WHILE YOU WORK.

Lay conveyors to route raw extradimensional crystal into your rig, then build the defences that process it into a useful powder. Your deck is your toolkit: towers, structures, tech cards and upgrades drafted across a run, and the combos you assemble are the difference between hitting quota and being written off as a training expense. Visit exotic planets all across the sector, each one a fresh deposit.

CHART YOUR OWN PATH.

Every contract is a node by node ascent through VEXcorp territory, and the route is yours to choose. Take the safe job or the profitable one. Your destination is the Breach, helpfully held open by VEXcorp, where a deposit large enough to clear your ledger is waiting.

VEXCORP IS KEEPING AN EYE OUT FOR YOU.

Your conduct is on file, and so is everyone else's. The people you meet out here remember what you did last time, whether you helped them or sold them out to make quota. Locations shift between contracts. So does what you know about the company you work for.

VEXcorp. Wherever you go, we're already there.
