About This Software

Stop dragging the same windows to the same spots every day. Shoji Flow saves the way you arrange your apps as layouts and brings them back with one click or a hotkey, across your monitors. It learns which setups you keep returning to and suggests new layouts on its own. Named after the sliding paper doors of Japanese architecture, it's built to feel calm and stay out of your way.

Set up once. Back with one key.

Capture your current window arrangement in one click, or build a layout by hand in the editor. Restoring a layout moves and resizes your windows back into place and launches the apps that aren't running yet, including Store and Electron apps. When you apply a layout from the app, a preview shows what will move and what will launch first, and if you change your mind, Undo puts your windows back where they were. For quick tidying in between, snap windows into halves, quarters or the center right from the dashboard.

It learns how you work

Shoji Flow notices which apps you use together and how you arrange them: your morning coding setup, your streaming desk, your writing corner. Once a routine is clear, it suggests a ready-made layout, and one click opens it in the editor, ready to save. You decide how eager the suggestions are: Sensitive, Balanced or Strict.

One hotkey, whole workspace

Give any layout a global hotkey and switch your whole workspace from anywhere. Let Shoji Flow apply a layout the moment it starts, launch the apps a layout needs, and reopen a set of pages in your browser as fresh tabs.

Made for multiple monitors

Per-monitor DPI scaling, and layouts that remember which screen each window belongs to. When your setup changes, windows land on the screens you have, inside the visible work area and never behind the taskbar.

Rules per app

Give an app its own color and display name, and decide how Shoji Flow treats it: skip it entirely (handy for games with anti-cheat), move it without resizing, or leave it alone in the tray. Noisy background apps can be hidden from Insights.

Insights

See how you really use your PC: your most-used apps, the combinations you run together, screen usage, active time per day and an hour-by-weekday heatmap.

Optional AI

Switch on the built-in AI and your layouts and suggestions get names, tags and short descriptions. It needs a one-time download of the AI model. Off by default.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Shoji Flow includes an optional AI feature (off by default) that runs a small language model entirely locally on your device. When enabled, it generates short text — names, tags, and descriptions for your window layouts and layout suggestions — based on the names of the apps you use. The model files need a one-time download, and the app asks before each download. Generation itself needs no internet connection, and no data is transmitted. By default, it also reads the titles of your open windows to make naming more precise. You can turn this off in the AI settings. Some store page artwork was created with the assistance of generative AI tools and was reviewed by the developer.
