About This Game

Word Space is a fast arcade typing game where every word is a target and every mistake can cost you momentum.

Pilot your ship through waves of space threats by typing the words attached to incoming enemies. Clear targets cleanly, build mastery, survive boss encounters, and push your score higher with each run.

Type, Dodge, Survive

Incoming asteroids, alien threats, boss attacks, and special hazards all carry words. Type accurately to destroy them before they reach your ship. As the run escalates, the screen becomes a test of speed, focus, and word recognition.

Upgrade Your Ship

Earn Word Space coins and spend them in the hangar. Choose ships, improve their strengths, and unlock stronger tools for longer runs.

Special Powers

Use abilities such as EMP, Sands of Time, and Blackbolt to recover from pressure, control the battlefield, or strike multiple targets at once.

Compete Across Dictionaries

Word Space includes multiple dictionary packs and Steam leaderboards. Compete globally, or measure your best score against players using the same dictionary language.

Track Your Hunts

Your captain's log records completed runs and hunted words, giving every session a sense of progress beyond the scoreboard.

Current dictionary packs: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Turkish.

Planned Post-Launch Updates

Word Space is being built as a long-term typing action platform. After the initial release, the goal is to expand the game with new ways to play, community-made content, and deeper competitive systems.

Beat the Beat
A rhythm-driven mode planned around Steam Workshop music. Players will be able to play through songs using their lyrics as the word stream, with each track having its own dedicated leaderboard.

Co-op Mode
A cooperative mode where two friends try to survive together and push toward the end of the run as a team.

PVP League Mode
A competitive typing battle mode with a league-based progression structure, designed for players who want direct head-to-head pressure instead of only score chasing.

Polyglot Mode
A language-learning focused mode built around difficulty tiers such as A1, A2, B1 and beyond. Instead of simply typing the word shown on screen, players will need to type the correct translation. For example, a Turkish prompt such as "elma" may need to be destroyed by typing "apple".

Dictionary Updates
Dictionary packs will continue to improve through player feedback. Reported word issues, missing entries, difficulty balance, and language-pack quality can be adjusted over time.

Workshop Visual Packs
The long-term goal is to support Steam Workshop visual packs, allowing players to change the look and theme of the game with community-created assets.

These features are part of the planned roadmap and may evolve during development based on testing, technical scope, and community feedback.
