What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Starforge Pirate is already playable and has a strong foundation, but I want it to reach its full potential with player feedback guiding the final stretch. The game is built around fast arcade combat, roguelite choices, gun builds, boss variety, and long-term unlocks: I feel those systems benefit enormously from real players trying different strategies, finding broken builds, spotting confusing UI, and telling me what feels fun.

Early Access will let me involve the community while the game is still flexible enough to meaningfully improve. I especially want feedback on balance, pacing, weapon variety, boss encounters, shop rewards, achievements, and overall game feel. My goal is to make Starforge Pirate sharper, deeper, more readable, and more satisfying before calling it finished.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I anticipate the game being in early access for approximately 2-3 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Based on community feedback, I would like to add more ships, relics, cargo ships, a strong starforge mechanic that works and increases replay value, and other realistic features as requested by the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Please refer to the About This Game section for details on current gameplay! Starforge Pirate is playable and has a strong foundation, but some of its systems and mechanics may feel a bit shallow at present: I intend to expand them using player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, I anticipate the full release being 50% more expensive than its Early Access version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to involve the community directly through our Discord, where players can share feedback, report bugs, suggest new features, and discuss balance changes. Since Starforge Pirate is built around replayable runs, weapon builds, boss encounters, and long-term unlocks, player feedback will be especially important for tuning what feels fun, fair, surprising, and worth coming back to.

I also plan to run community votes on potential features, weapons, upgrades, enemies, ships, quality-of-life improvements, and balance changes. The strongest ideas, especially the ones that fit the spirit of the game and make the core loop more exciting, will be considered for implementation.

My goal is not just to collect feedback passively, but to make players feel like they are helping shape the final version of Starforge Pirate. I want the finished game to feel sharper, deeper, and more alive because the community helped guide it there.”

About This Game

One lucky upgrade can turn a doomed run into a miracle. One bad gamble can leave your ship drifting in pieces.

Get Stronger. Fight Harder.

That’s the heart of Starforge Pirate: build a better ship, take on tougher enemies, and push your luck until the run breaks…or you do.

You play as a pirate ship battling through hostile cosmic routes. Between waves, you make quick choices: buy a new weapon, take an upgrade, visit the spaceport, or risk moving forward with the build you already have.

Enemy formations keep pressure on you with marching swarms, spiraling helixes, dive-bombers, and elite ships with their own attack patterns. Every few levels, you’ll reach the Gun & Upgrade Store, where your gold can buy new guns, ship upgrades, and choices that reshape your run.

Forge Your Arsenal

Start with a basic kinetic weapon and turn your ship into a screen-clearing weapon platform.

Add elemental weapons to your loadout:

  • Water

  • Fire

  • Ice

Each element changes how you handle enemies and bosses. The right weapon can tear through a fight; the wrong one can turn survival into a desperate scramble.

Get Stronger. Fight Harder.

Every upgrade raises the stakes.

Better gear helps you survive longer, but stronger enemies are always waiting. Each level ends in a boss fight, and each boss pushes your build harder than the last.

Survive past level 9 and you’ll face the final Mythic boss.
Manage Heat, Movement, and Pressure

Your weapons can overheat.

Fire too aggressively and you may be left unable to shoot when enemies close in. To survive, you’ll need to dodge, fire, cool down, reposition, and strike back at the right moment.

Chase Better Runs

Runs are short, tense, and built to replay.

Try different weapons, elements, upgrades, and routes as you push for stronger builds, higher scores, and a better spot on the leaderboard.

Starforge Pirate is for players who love arcade shooting, roguelite upgrades, boss fights, risky builds, and the feeling that the next run could finally be the one where everything clicks.
