Miksi Early Access?

I'm a single dev making a game about my own life. The main storyline is ready, but I need your help to polish this OS simulator until it feels like a real time machine. Early Access lets you poke holes in my code, find bugs, and tell me which apps and secrets you'd love to see. Plus, you'll be living this story with me.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

At least until October, or at least six months. I plan to complete additional applications and finalization by early 2027, but since this project is personal and ambitious, there may be some unexpected developments along the way.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

The full version will include more functioning applications, deeper AI interactions, additional secrets, extra endings and improved graphics and audio. The core narrative won't change, but the OS will feel richer and more authentic.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The game is fully playable from start to end – you can install N‑OS, explore the desktop, chat with AURA and Bindy, unravel the story and experience multiple endings. Some supporting apps and mini‑games are placeholders, some features are rough and there are likely bugs and missing translations.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

No, I plan to keep the same price. If I add more content than planned, the price won't increase.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

I read every post in the Steam forums. Tell me about bugs, share your theories, pitch your favourite retro app and I'll listen. I'll also post dev logs and polls, and I'll credit players whose feedback makes it into the game.

You might think the “N” in N‑OS stands for Nostalgia. Maybe Neon. Noise. Night. Null. Network. But N‑OS actually means Neuro‑OS – a living archive of memories, code and conversations.

On the surface it looks like a retro operating system from the 2000s. Underneath, it’s my personal story. You play as me: a developer in 2026, returning to an abandoned project with only three months before the deadline. You’ll install an ancient system, dig through logs and forum posts, patch broken code, and chat with AURA, Bindy and other digital voices that may know you better than you know yourself.

– Explore a retro desktop and run weird applications.

– Chat with AURA, Bindy and other digital personalities.

– Piece together what happened on 22.10.2006 by reading logs, emails and forum posts.

– Make choices that shape the ending and unlock a free‑roam mode.

– Based on real events – this is my story.

N‑OS is currently in Early Access. The core narrative is complete, but I’m still adding new applications, secrets, AI interactions and quality‑of‑life improvements. Your feedback will help make the final release feel like a true Neuro‑OS.

Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with the creation of some pre-generated visual assets, audio, written content, and localization. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the game. The game does not generate content during gameplay.
