What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“1 Day Poison in World is releasing in Early Access because I want to continue improving the game with player feedback.

The core survival experience is playable, but I want to expand and polish the game before the full release. Early Access allows players to share ideas, report issues, and help improve the final version.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is expected to stay in Early Access for around 2 months or longer depending on development progress and player feedback.

The goal is to leave Early Access when the game feels more complete and polished.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more levels and larger areas to explore, more types of hazards and obstacles, and better balancing of the poison and the timer. I also plan to improve the visuals and overall polish, fix the issues players run into, and add more variety so runs stay interesting over time. The core idea stays the same: explore, survive the poison, and reach the goal. I can't promise exact dates or the final shape of every feature, but these are the directions I'm working toward.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently contains the main survival gameplay, poison mechanics, timer system, health system, explorable environments, obstacles, and the goal of reaching the end.

The game is playable from start to finish, but some content, balancing, and features may change during development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I do not plan to increase the price when the game leaves Early Access. If that changes due to a lot of added content, players will be told in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will directly guide what I work on. I'll be reading suggestions, bug reports and ideas, and using them to decide which levels, features and fixes to focus on next.

I want to be honest about this: I can't add every single idea. As a solo developer I have to pick what fits the game and what I'm able to make, so not every suggestion will end up in the final version — but all of it is read and helps shape the direction. If something isn't fun or doesn't work, that feedback matters the most.

The best place to reach me is the Steam Community Hub and the discussions for the game.”

About This Game

1 DAY

1 Day Poison in World is a single-player first-person 3D survival adventure set in a low-poly world affected by deadly poison. You have one in-game day to escape before the timer reaches zero.

The game is level-based. Each level begins in an open environment with city streets, buildings, roads, trees, and outdoor areas. You explore on foot in first person, look around with the mouse, jump over obstacles, and search for the route that leads toward the exit.

At the start of each level, the route to the exit is blocked. To continue, the player must explore the area and find a pressure plate. Stepping on the pressure plate opens the blocked path and allows the player to move toward the next area and the exit.

A countdown timer runs during the entire level. Exploring can help the player find the pressure plate and safer routes, but every detour uses valuable time. The player must decide when to explore carefully and when to move quickly toward the objective.

The player has a health bar and a poison meter. Poison gas fills the poison meter while the player remains in contaminated areas. Staying in poison for too long damages health. Acid, spikes, environmental obstacles, and enemies can also damage the player. Enemies can notice and chase the player in some parts of the level.

The player loses when health reaches zero or when the countdown timer reaches zero.

To complete a level, the player must find the pressure plate, unlock the blocked route, survive the hazards, and reach the exit before time runs out. Completing a level returns the player to the main menu.

A short tutorial at the beginning explains movement, hazards, pressure plates, and the level objective.

There is no long story campaign or character-level system. Progress comes from learning the level layout, understanding the dangers, finding the correct route, and improving decisions during later attempts.

A direct completion takes around 10 minutes. Exploring the available areas and searching for safer routes can take around 20 minutes.

1 Day Poison in World is a compact first-person survival adventure focused on exploration, time pressure, poison hazards, enemies, and reaching the exit.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

AI tools were used in a limited way during development to assist a solo developer with creating and improving some parts of the game, including certain visual assets and development support.

The game was designed, built, edited, and assembled by me. AI assistance was used because creating every asset completely from scratch as a solo developer would have significantly slowed development. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, modified, and approved manually before being included in the final game.
