About This Game

A single player turn-based hex strategy game of war, politics, and espionage set in a modern fictional African nation on the cusp of a civil war. Command one of six rival warlords as you manoeuvre armies, bribe officials, and sabotage your enemies' assets across a richly detailed map of lakes, jungles, and contested cities.

Capture facilities for income, invest influence to win the hearts of the population, and deploy agents to assassinate leaders and subvert rival factions from within. Coordinate infantry, tanks, artillery, naval flotillas, and paratroopers across four operational phases. 

In Zambala, every faction is led by a named Leader Unit who acts as your avatar on the map .Your vocation shapes your entire campaign. Choose a Politician to dominate population centres through influence, a Bishop to build legitimacy and Influence Points, a General to turn stacked armies into battlefield powerhouses, or a Diplomat to secure international aid in resources, influence, air power, and naval power. An Economist strengthens your war chest with reliable Resource Points, a Humanitarian wins hearts and minds while growing local manpower, and a Cartel Boss brings underworld leverage with a free Agent and extra income in population centres.

Zambala rewards players who balance the sword and the ballot box. Brute military force seizes territory, but political influence keeps it. Every decision shapes your standing in the eyes of the world, whether to repair a sabotaged mine, spend your last resources on a new armoured unit, or drop an agent into an enemy capital.

With AI opponents driven by distinct personality traits and an emergent web of alliances, rivalries, and hate scores, no two games play the same.
