About This Game

Explore a dark vision of early-2000s Gdańsk, a real city transformed into an unsettling nightmare. Uncover its mysteries, explore familiar places, and confront something lurking beneath reality in this psychological horror adventure.

You play as Oskar.

Explore a dark vision of early-2000s Gdańsk, a real city with a second face. Uncover its mysteries, from a kilometre-long concrete apartment block to the Baltic coast, and descend into the Nightmare lurking beneath reality.

Following the clues, Oskar begins to uncover a hidden layer of reality lurking beneath the familiar world around him. The deeper he goes, the harder it becomes to tell what is real, what is imagined, and what should have remained forgotten.

Poland, early 2000s. Gdańsk.

Explore a faithfully recreated version of a real, living city. From towering concrete apartment blocks and quiet residential streets to cemeteries, forests, and the Baltic coastline. These are places that actually exist, brought into the game and transformed into the setting of Oskar’s story.

Experience the early 2000s, when dial-up internet, CRT monitors, mobile phones, and the first online communities were changing everyday life. Beneath this familiar nostalgia, however, something else is taking shape.

As technology spreads through the city, the boundary between the physical world and something far older begins to collapse.

Nightmare Loop

Reality is not as stable as it seems. Familiar places become distorted, ordinary moments turn unsettling, and every discovery raises new questions about what is happening to Oskar and why.

Explore two versions of the same city: the Gdańsk you recognize and its disturbing reflection — the Nightmare. Uncover a story filled with mystery, occult influences, and unexpected twists as you descend deeper into the Nightmare, where nothing can be taken at face value.
