What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Voxenvale is an online block-building sandbox that needs real builders and social players involved while the core systems are still being shaped. The current version already lets players enter realms, build, mine, collect items, chat, and customize their character, but the long-term game is not finished yet. Early Access lets the community influence which realm tools, building rules, economy features, decorations, wearables, and multiplayer systems should be improved first.

Our goal is to build Voxenvale with regular feedback from players instead of deciding every system alone before release. We want to learn how people actually build, decorate, socialize, trade, and move between realms so the full game grows around the strongest parts of that play.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Voxenvale to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 months. This may change depending on player feedback, the stability of the online systems, and how much time is needed to properly complete the planned realm, economy, crafting, item, and social features.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to have a larger and more stable sandbox with deeper realm ownership tools, better public/private realm settings, protected areas, more blocks and decorations, more wearables, expanded inventory and outfit systems, crafting and machine progression, a clearer in-game economy, shop and trading features, moderation/reporting tools, improved server scaling, better performance, and more social activities inside realms.

These plans may change based on player feedback during Early Access. The main difference from the current version is that the full version should feel like a more complete online world, with more reasons to build, collect, decorate, visit other players, and keep returning.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version is a playable online alpha. Players can create an account, enter the lobby, visit realms, build and mine blocks, collect dropped items and coins, use a server-saved inventory, equip a small set of wearables, place decorations, chat with other players, and use the realm browser/bumper system to move between realms.

The game is still missing several planned systems and has visible work-in-progress areas. Content is limited, balance is still changing, economy and crafting systems are basic, realm permissions are still being expanded, and performance/polish work is ongoing. Players should expect an active development build, not a finished game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Voxenvale remains free to play during early access and after the full release. We want players to be able to participate freely, visit realms, and provide feedback as the game grows.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community through Steam discussions, Discord, in-game feedback, polls, and public patch notes. Player feedback will help decide which blocks, decorations, wearables, realm tools, economy systems, and quality-of-life changes should be prioritized.

We are especially interested in feedback from players who build realms, test multiplayer sessions, try to collect and trade items, and explain where the game feels slow, confusing, or missing important sandbox tools. Bug reports are helpful, but the bigger goal is to let the community affect Voxenvale's direction while the game is still being built.”
