What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“WizKitty is already a complete game: you can climb the whole tower, unlock every character and push through all 11 Doom levels. It's been through hundreds of hours of closed beta testing. I'm launching in Early Access because roguelike deckbuilders live or die on balance, and the best balance testing comes from lots of players breaking the game in ways I didn't expect. I want a few weeks of feedback to tune cards, relics and difficulty before calling it 1.0.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 1 month.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The core game won't change: same tower, characters and crafting system. The full version will have balance changes based on player feedback, quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. Depending on what players ask for most, it may also get some extra content such as new cards, mods and relics.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable from start to finish, with 40-60 hours of gameplay. It includes 7 characters, 40+ cards, 50+ relics, an 8-floor tower with bosses and treasure floors, 11 Doom difficulty levels, endless mode and crafting puzzles. Everything described in the "About This Game" section is already in the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The price will stay the same.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the WizKitty Discord and the Steam discussion forums. I read every post. Balance changes will be based on what players report, and I'll post patch notes for every update.”

About This Game

WizKitty and the Tower of Doom, Gloom, and Other Bad Stuff is a roguelike deckbuilder where your deck doesn’t fight, it crafts the weapon that does.

Every run is a puzzle of modifiers, upgrades, rerolls, prefixes, suffixes, and trying to bully RNG into giving you the perfect item.

Build a ridiculous weapon. Smash your way up the tower. Laugh in the face of RNG.

Inspired by the strategic decision-making of Slay the Spire, the escalating “one more run” energy of Balatro, and the item-crafting obsession of Path of Exile, WizKitty is built for players who love broken builds, surprising synergies, and losing sleep to one more run.

Features

  • Deckbuilding meets weapon crafting

    • Use your cards to add, remove, upgrade, reroll, and transform weapon modifiers.

  • Every weapon tells a story

    • Turn a sad little stick into a blazing, overpowered mistake that somehow works.

  • Chase broken builds

    • Stack synergies, exploit weird interactions, and push your weapon far past reasonable behavior.

  • Climb the Tower of Doom, Gloom, and Other Bad Stuff

    • Face enemies, unlock new possibilities, and discover increasingly strategic ways to win.

  • A tiny wizard cat with very big ambitions

    • WizKitty may be small, but the weapons are not.
