Über diese Demo

The Altar is a demon heart, and it is you. Your body is the altar; your hand is the reaper. Sweep it through a self-growing horde of critters and drink every drop.

KEEP FEEDING: Critters are offerings, not enemies. They wander the field until you touch them with the reaper's ring. Their Blood becomes orbs; the orbs fly to you; the Altar levels, heals, and calls more. The hunger never stops outgrowing the supply. That is the game.

HUNGER IS THE CLOCK: One timer drains one second per second. Only levels add time. Play greedy, die rich: the run ends when the Clock empties or the heart shatters, and both pay.

EVERY DEATH PAYS: Death is the meta. Each run pays Tithes, spent between runs on the only persistent thing: a research grid that ends when the last node is bought.

DESCEND: Kill enough and the world darkens toward HELL. four phases, new critter trios, harsher ground. One verb. One arena. No build layer. Reap.
