The game ditched the traditional jumping, and switched to using a limited number of blocks to get higher. Players will make it to the finish by smartly using dashes, resets, and interacting with different elements in each level.

About This Game

What is this game?

This is not an ordinary platformer - we have done away with the "jump button" entirely. In its place are five "blocks" with special abilities. You can place them in the scene to build paths, lift yourself up, trigger mechanisms, and finally reach the goal.

Each level offers a limited number of "resets". You can use them to retrieve your blocks, or to reset your own state.

Game Background

In a chemistry laboratory, you are not an ordinary reagent - you are the latest scientific achievement. Your mission is to take part in catalytic reaction experiments with dangerous chemicals, and turn them step by step into stable, harmless substances.

Every success makes the laboratory's data more complete, and makes your existence seem "only natural". But whether you follow the rules and complete the established experimental procedure, or choose to catalyze an unexpected "big reaction", the right to choose always remains in your hands.

Future

Demo version (coming soon):

  • 10 carefully designed levels + 1 boss battle

  • Basic gameplay and core interaction logic

Official version (in development):

  • The level count will be expanded to 50, with 5 bosses

  • The story will lead to two completely different endings, depending on the choices you make at key points

  • A new item system will be introduced

  • Function restriction levels will be added

  • The block usage logic will be expanded

Final Words

Cubuild is made by two developers. Since our team is small, the game inevitably has some imperfections, but we always keep an open mind and look forward to your feedback. If you like the game, please consider adding it to your wishlist.

If you encounter a bug while playing, or you think a puzzle could be "even cleverer", or you have unique ideas about where the story should go - or even if you would like to join this experiment and become a member of the dev team - you’re welcome to reach out to us through the game feedback channel in the Steam discussion forums.

We carefully read every piece of feedback we receive. Every time you speak up, it could become a catalyst for the evolution of the game.
