What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We decided to launch Waves in Early Access because we want to build it together with our community. The core experience is already functional — you can control your mouse cursor, perform clicks, pause music or videos, and switch between windows, all using just your hand gestures in front of your camera. However, we believe gesture control should feel completely natural and effortless, and reaching that level of polish requires real feedback from real users. Early Access allows us to listen to the community, understand how people actually use Waves in their daily workflow, and continuously improve the gesture recognition to make it smoother, faster, and more intuitive. Every update will bring us closer to the seamless hands-free experience we envision.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“We estimate Waves will remain in Early Access for approximately 2 to 3 months. During this period we will focus on improving gesture recognition accuracy, adding new gestures based on community feedback, and polishing the overall experience. Once we feel the app delivers a truly natural and reliable hands-free experience, we will move to full release.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to have Waves fully released within 3 to 4 months. The full version will feel significantly more polished and capable than what Early Access offers today. We plan to introduce a wider variety of built-in gestures, deeper customization options that allow users to define and assign their own gestures to any action, and improved compatibility across more applications and workflows. We also plan to implement context-aware gesture detection, meaning Waves will intelligently adapt its behavior depending on what app or activity you are currently using. Our goal is for the full release to feel like a complete, reliable, and truly natural way to interact with your computer every day.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Waves is approximately 70% complete, but already fully functional for everyday use. The core features are stable and working — you can control your mouse cursor, perform clicks, pause and resume media, and switch between windows using hand gestures detected by your camera in real time. What remains is focused on refinement: improving gesture recognition accuracy, expanding the gesture library, adding customization options, and making the overall experience feel more natural and responsive. The foundation is solid — we are now building on top of it.

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price of Waves as we add new features, improve gesture recognition, and expand customization options throughout Early Access. We want to reward early supporters with a lower price for joining us during this stage of development. Once Waves reaches its full release with all planned features complete, the price will be higher than it is today. We encourage players who are interested to take advantage of the Early Access price.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to stay closely connected with our community throughout the entire Early Access period. We will actively monitor and respond to feedback through the Steam community forums and discussions, where users can report bugs, suggest new gestures, and share how they use Waves in their daily workflow. We will also share development updates, sneak peeks of upcoming features, and behind-the-scenes content through our TikTok and Instagram pages, where the community can follow our progress and interact with us directly. Every piece of feedback matters — our users are the reason Waves will keep getting better.

About This Software

Waves is a Windows app that lets you control your laptop with hand gestures using just your webcam. No extra mouse, no keyboard, no additional hardware needed.

Move the cursor with your palm, switch windows with the "Rock & Roll" gesture, minimize windows using your pinky and ring fingers, pause music or video, and so much more. You can also customize your own gestures to match how you work.

Powered by AI and real-time computer vision, the camera detects your movements and instantly turns them into commands.

It's perfect for when your hands are full, when you're presenting, or if you just want a whole new way to use your computer.
