Why Early Access?

“The core loop of Monke Survivor—aggressive melee combat, ragdoll physics and breaking the game's economy—is already fully playable and highly addictive. However, balancing an action-roguelite with dozens of items and exponential stat scaling requires real player feedback. I want to build the rest of the maps and items alongside the community to make sure the late-game chaos is perfectly balanced before the official 1.0 launch.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The plan is to stay in Early Access for roughly 2 to 3 months. I am aiming for a full 1.0 release by late October 2026, once the final map and character roster are fully implemented and balanced.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version features the core foundation of the game. For the full 1.0 version, I plan to add a 3rd completely new map, 3 new playable characters, expand the item pool to 80+ unique items and implement community-suggested challenges and features.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is stable and highly replayable. It currently features 2 fully fleshed-out maps (The Office & The Liminal Desktop), 3 unique characters, functioning meta-progression and fully working global leaderboards for competitive speedruns.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. To reward the early adopters who help shape the game, Monke Survivor is priced lower during Early Access. The price will slightly increase when the 1.0 full version is released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is the backbone of this game. I am extremely active in our official Discord server, directly taking item ideas, map suggestions and balancing feedback from the players. Several items and features currently in the game were actually pitched by players. Everyone is welcome to join the "Dev Cave" and help cook up the next update!”
