What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Guild Master Simulator is heavily inspired by games like RimWorld, Dwarf Fortress, and Mount & Blade, particularly in how they use interconnected systems to create emergent gameplay and storytelling.

My goal is to bring that same sense of emergent storytelling to running an adventurer's guild, where interacting systems can create situations and stories unique to each playthrough.

Early Access gives me the opportunity to develop and refine these systems alongside the community. Player feedback will help me understand which systems need more depth, which interactions are the most interesting, and where the simulation can be expanded.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Guild Master Simulator to remain in Early Access for approximately 1 to 1.5 years. This timeframe may change depending on player feedback and how the game develops throughout Early Access. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout Early Access, I plan to greatly expand the depth, variety, and interconnectedness of Guild Master Simulator. Some of the areas planned for expansion include:

- Mod support
- Magic and spellcasting systems
- Politics and interactions between settlements and factions
- Religions and belief systems
- Different fantasy races
- Additional specialized staff types, including medics and alchemists
- Procedurally generated overworld maps
- Procedurally generated world history
- More quests, encounters, events, monsters, equipment, and locations
- Expanded settlements and overworld interactions
- Deeper adventurer relationships and interactions
- Expanded combat and injury systems
- More furniture, and building options
- More ways for adventurers to develop and specialize
- Improved visuals, animations, sound effects, and audio
- More emergent storytelling possibilities

These plans may evolve throughout Early Access based on development and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Guild Master Simulator already features its core gameplay loop of building and managing an adventurer's guild, recruiting adventurers, and sending them out into the world.

The current Early Access version includes:

- Guildhall building, furnishing, and customization
- Adventurer recruitment and management
- Staff management, including cooks and smiths
- Adventurer needs, moods, schedules, and behaviors
- Skills, attributes, and training
- Equipment, armor, weapons, and equipment policies
- Cooking and food management
- Crafting and equipment maintenance
- Adventuring parties
- Settlements
- Quests and encounters
- Combat
- Guild reputation and progression
- Emergent events and storytelling
- Save and load functionality

The core systems are playable, but as an Early Access game, many of these systems will continue to receive additional content, balancing, polish, and greater depth throughout development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. I plan to gradually increase the price of Guild Master Simulator as the game receives substantial new content, features, and improvements throughout Early Access.

Players who support the game earlier will be able to purchase it at a lower price. Any planned price increases will be communicated to the community ahead of time.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to actively communicate with players through the Steam Community and Discord, where players can share feedback, report bugs, suggest new features, and discuss existing systems.

Feedback will help shape development priorities, balancing, quality-of-life improvements, and the expansion of existing systems. I also plan to regularly share development updates, upcoming features, and changes with the community.

While I can't promise that every suggestion will make it into the game, I want the community to have a meaningful influence on how Guild Master Simulator grows throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

Guild Master Simulator is a sandbox colony simulation game where you take the role of a guild master leading a growing guild of adventurers.

Send adventurers across the realm to undertake quests ranging from simple deliveries and monster hunts to dangerous dungeon expeditions and dragon-slaying adventures. Choose who to send, prepare them for the journey, and deal with the consequences of their successes and failures.

Adventures unfold through a character-driven encounter system. Guild members react to events according to their skills, traits, relationships, and mood, choosing their own course of action when faced with challenges. Their decisions, combined with the uncertainty of chance, determine whether an encounter ends in glory, disaster, or something in between, creating unique stories in every playthrough.

Recruit new members, organize them into parties, schedule their training, and equip them with weapons and armor. Every adventurer is a unique individual with their own traits, skills, relationships, needs, and ambitions.

Manage your members' moods, needs, injuries, and relationships. As they gain experience, endure hardship, and form bonds with one another, their personalities and behavior will evolve over time.

Hire staff to support your guild's operations. Employ chefs to keep your members fed, smiths to forge equipment, and other specialists to help your guild prosper.

Design and expand your guild hall with training grounds, workshops, living quarters, and recreational facilities. Create a home where adventurers can train, recover, and prepare for their next journey.

Earn reputation throughout the land. Protect settlements from monsters, criminals, and economic decline while building your guild into a respected institution.

No two guilds are the same. Every member has a story, every decision has consequences, and every playthrough creates a unique history for your guild.

Will your guild become a legendary force known across the realm, or be remembered as just another forgotten chapter in its history?
