About This Demo

After Agent Ash Gray dies, all she leaves Lin Mo is a blackened ring and a single phrase:

Ash to ashes.

To uncover the truth behind Ash’s death, Lin Mo leaves the secret organization “Vesper” and travels to Collins City, her hometown, where he reopens the Ash Detective Agency she founded.

This demo includes the game’s prologue and first case. You will take on a locked-room murder at Flynn’s Store on Gray Street, investigate the crime scene, question the people involved, organize evidence and testimony, and use deduction synthesis and logic rebuttals to move closer to the truth.

◆ Prologue: Ash to Ashes, Leaves to the Forest

Return to key moments before and after Ash’s death. Learn why Lin Mo left “Vesper,” and why he came to Collins City to reopen this long-abandoned detective agency.

◆ Case 1: The Gray Street Locked-Room Murder

Investigate the death scene inside Flynn’s Store on Gray Street. Examine the body, suspicious traces, and important objects, then speak with the people involved to collect the clues needed to reconstruct the case.

◆ Crime Scene Investigation

Inspect the scene, collect evidence, and obtain testimony. Different clues may be connected. Organize them into new deductions to push the investigation forward.

◆ Logic Rebuttals

When someone presents a flawed theory, find the statement with a clear contradiction and present the right evidence, testimony, or deduction to refute it. Wrong choices will reduce trust, so choose your clues carefully.

◆ Closing Argument

At the end of the investigation, identify the culprit and reconstruct the motive, method, and key evidence. Only a complete chain of reasoning can make the truth stand.
