The Deconsecration Initiative is a short incremental game about building a machine strong enough to kill a god. Build a base, power up your giant laser, shoot the god, collect the shards it drops, and repeat.

Hire workers to gather the god's shards, then spend them on more power for the laser, new buildings and new weaponry like rocket launchers and mini lasers. Watch your beam grow as your power increases.

Take down the god's shields - but watch out, each shield you destroy unlocks more of the god's corrupting power. The god will start turning your workers into slugs, converting them to worship it, sending them into a coworker-killing frenzy and more. You can't prevent it - but you can turn it  to your advantage using the power of SCIENCE, RESEARCH and MARKETING.

• Watch your workers get corrupted, then research upgrades that take advantage of their corrupted states

• Find synergies between your mundane and corrupted upgrades

• 5 layers of god shield to defeat, with 4 corruption mechanics - one per band after the first

• No prestige or skill trees, playtime is around 2 hours

This is a game about industrialized violence against a god, and a workforce that slowly gets corrupted by being near it. It contains stylized pixel-art violence. One type of corruption makes workers pray and then blow themselves up. It's depicted abstractly, but it's there, so be aware if martyrdom or self-destruction is something you'd rather avoid. It contains themes of religious fanaticism and deicide throughout. No sexual content.
