About This Game

So you think you know cats? You think you know potatoes? That's cute. Let's put that confidence to the test.

Here's the deal — there's an image hiding behind a curtain with a hole in it. You peek, you squint, you panic, and then you guess.

Is it a cat? Is it a potato? Sounds easy, right? Yeah, that's what they all say.

You've got a clock. It's not your friend. Or it is a friend, who shows up randomly, eats all your pizza and only knows the concept of 30 seconds rule (it's like 5 seconds rule, but 6 times in a row).

Guess fast and you're a genius — Perfect score. Take your sweet time and you'll scrape by with some feasible amount of points. Freeze up? That's bad, and you deserve it.

Stack those streaks to pump up your score, but mess up and you lose a life. Run out of lives and it's game over. No mercy.

"Why do I need all those points anyway" - you ask? Silly, you can spend them to buy cats! "But why though??" - to earn more points! Ask "why" again, I double dare you! (just kidding - you need more points to buy more cats, you dumbo, of course!)

These cats don't just sit there looking cute - they are alive. Actually, alive. Every single one of them has its own special ability and unique behavior. AND maybe, just maybe, it was drawn after our artist got inspired by YOUR cat!

Or if not - maybe you'll find your cat's lookalike. Is your cat a crazy person, or maybe it just likes dragging his or her bum around the newly vacuumed carpet? You'll have a chance to figure it out.

They're also pretty helpful in-game. You're welcome, by the way.

Some cats will boost your score, some will help you stay alive longer. And some will stretch that hole to help you. Curtain hole, I mean.

Build your collection, build your strategy, break the game - you've got competition.

Sure, yeah, I know there's a leaderboard in here. But how about a leaderboard, but even more leaderboardy - Cat or Potat has its own leaderboard, and once you're there - everyone can see it, young to old.

The leaderboard is full of people who think they're better than you at telling cats from potats. Prove them wrong, if you dare - we won't judge. Actually, we will.
