Why Early Access?

“As the DMS team, we aim to build on classic visual novel storytelling methods by incorporating gameplay powered by engines like Unreal Engine to make the stories more dynamic and enjoyable. That's why we launched the Leap Into Life project. Early Access allows us to develop the game together with our community: your feedback on the story, characters, and gameplay mechanics will directly shape upcoming episodes and improvements. We believe this collaborative process will result in a much better final game, and your input along the way is extremely important to us.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate the game will remain in Early Access for approximately 9 to 12 months. This timeline reflects the size of our team and the amount of story content, episodes, and features we plan to add before the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The most fundamental difference between the Early Access version and the full release will be the amount of content. The full version is planned to include: additional story episodes and branching paths, more character animations and interactive Unreal Engine gameplay sequences, an expanded gallery with unlockable items, and additional language support and quality-of-life improvements. We also expect new features and improvements to emerge from player feedback throughout the development process, so the final scope may grow beyond what's listed here.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently includes part of Episode 1, offering approximately 25 minutes of story content. The following features are fully implemented and playable:
- Part of the Episode 1 storyline with 5 chapters
- Interactive Unreal Engine gameplay sequences integrated into the story
- A gallery system with unlockable content
- Full localization in 13 languages
- Character animations, music/soundtrack, save system etc.
All features described in the "About This Game" section are already implemented in the current version. Future updates will add new episodes and content as outlined below.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features, so early supporters will get the game at its lowest price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is at the heart of our development process. You can reach us through:
- The Steam Community forums, where we'll actively read and respond to discussions
- Our official Discord server, where you can share feedback, report bugs, and chat directly with the development team
Through these channels, we want to learn which characters, storytelling elements, and gameplay features you enjoy most and shape future episodes accordingly. Instead of offering something you dislike, we aim to create something that you will truly enjoy playing and watching.”
