Watanuki Sakuya awakens in an old shrine.

Before her hangs the corpse of a girl, flowers blooming from every part of her body.

She had only come to the village with her best friend for a certain purpose.

What has happened to her?

The nine other girls still alive inside the shrine each have a flower blooming from one eye.

Before long, a caretaker girl named Yumemi appears and explains the situation.

“You are magical girls chosen for the Kamibana.

Every night at 8 PM, during the Flower Offering Ritual,

one girl will be chosen as a sacrifice to the Kamibana—and hanged.”

and draw closer to the true nature of the Kamibana.
