About This Game

Everything left in the wasteland is somebody’s loot.

Nearly two centuries have passed since the Old World vanished. The descendants of those who escaped extinction call themselves the Adhokin. Beyond the settlements lie endless collapsed factories, overturned highways, and facilities that have long since lost their purpose. Feral machine swarms known as the Missing Links roam among them.

You are a Scrapper, an armed scavenger who ventures into these danger zones to recover anything still worth taking. Ammunition. Medicine. Machine parts. Relics of the Old World. Anything in the ruins with a name usually has a price. The problem is getting close enough to identify it.

A Wasteland That Won’t Wait for You

Scrappers: Adhokin is a single-player top-down extraction shooter. Enter danger zones, search for supplies, take what you need, and extract before one more piece of loot costs you your life.

The rivals roaming the wasteland are not stationary targets waiting for you to show up. Guided by their own goals and dispositions, they explore the area, rummage through containers, take valuable items, engage others, and flee from danger. Once they have gathered enough loot, they will extract without waiting for you. If a container is empty by the time you reach it, someone else was simply faster.

Not Every Encounter Has to End in Gunfire

You can greet the Adhokin you meet, ask for a ceasefire, pick a fight, or suggest traveling together for a while. They respond according to their personalities and their reading of the situation. If your social graces leave something to be desired, they may reach for a gun.

Striking a deal does not turn them into puppets. Peace is valuable in the wasteland, but it rarely comes with a lifetime warranty. Watch out for rats who show their true colors at the extraction point.

Fighting and Retreating Are Both Decisions

You can take down Missing Links and strip them for valuable components, or go around them to conserve ammunition and bandages. No one else will calculate whether the loot in front of you is worth the cost of the fight. Taking an enemy head-on is not always the braver choice. Courage is not classified as salvage, either.

Extraction is not simply a menu option. You have to reach the exit, open it, and hold your ground. The noise of an extraction point coming online will also draw the attention of nearby Missing Links. The moment your pack holds its most valuable prize is usually the moment you need to move most quietly.

Only What You Bring Home Becomes Yours

Bring recovered resources and item blueprints to the workbench to craft new gear. Upgrade your workbench, generator, and stash to prepare better loadouts. Every supply stockpiled in your hideout gives you more options on the next expedition.

But if you fail to make it back alive, you may lose not only the loot you found that day, but also the equipment you brought in. A good expedition prepares the next. A bad one makes another scavenger rich.

You decide what to put on the line, and how far to let greed take you. Just remember: by the time you decide it’s time to leave, you’re usually one shot too late.
