About This Game

Milan, 1963. A sky as white as paper, a leather bag, and a letter from a notary that should have remained unread. In The Pigment, the first entry in the Pantheon of the Abyss collection, you step into the shoes of Marco Ferretti, a man inheriting a legacy of madness.

Your uncle Ettore died in an asylum, leaving behind a dusty atelier in Via Solferino filled with unfinished canvases, cryptic diaries, and an odor of turpentine that hides something sweet and mineral.

A Color from Beyond

Discover the truth behind a mysterious pigment that changes with the light and defies the laws of physics. As you explore the studio, you will uncover the obsessive work of Antonio Valeri and the "unnameable color" that has haunted your lineage for decades. Twelve canvases stand between our world and the unknown. The last one is empty, waiting for your brush.

Survival of the Mind

In this choice-driven narrative inspired by classic 80s/90s gamebooks, survival is not about physical strength, but mental endurance. You must manage two critical resources:

  • Sanity (SM): Your grip on reality. Each revelation about the nature of the pigment erodes your mind. Reach zero, and the asylum awaits.

  • Lucidity (LU): Your ability to perceive the truth. While high lucidity unlocks the secrets of the color, it also makes you more vulnerable to its reality-shattering influence.
