“Krastforge is already playable, and Early Access lets us improve its movement, combat, progression, balance, and competitive systems together with players. We want feedback from real runs to guide which bosses, arenas, challenges, and quality-of-life improvements matter most.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Krastforge to remain in Early Access through 2027. This is an estimate and may change as we evaluate player feedback and the scope of planned content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to expand the game with additional bosses, arenas and maps, challenge variants, cosmetics, progression goals, achievements, accessibility options, balance work, and broader polish. We also plan to refine online leaderboards and seasonal content based on community feedback. Plans may evolve during development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access build is fully playable on Windows and includes two distinct modes: Forge Run, a score-focused 2D platforming challenge, and Boss Hunt, a combat encounter built around dodging attacks and striking during openings. It also includes online leaderboards, Steam achievements, Krast account linking and cloud-backed profile progression, a cosmetic shop using Steam Wallet for optional Forge Marks, challenges, pilot customization, and keyboard and mouse controls. Players may encounter balance changes, limited content variety, and occasional beta bugs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Krastforge is free to play, and we do not plan to charge for the base game when it leaves Early Access. Optional cosmetic purchases and currency packs may continue to be available through Steam Wallet; pricing and package contents may be adjusted during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We review player feedback from Steam discussions, support channels, and gameplay and leaderboard data. We plan to use that feedback to prioritize balance changes, improve controls and accessibility, tune bosses and arenas, fix issues, and decide which additional content is most valuable. Major updates will be communicated through Steam announcements.”

About This Game

KRAST FORGE is a fast, free arcade challenge game from Krabbe Studios.
Each run begins with a draft of rule cards that reshape the arena, the boss pressure, and the way sparks behave. Survive the Forge Core, build a high score, and when you clear a machine, turn that exact run into a challenge other players can attempt.

What makes Krastforge special is the loop between solo play and shared competition. A strong run does not disappear after the score screen; it becomes a route with the same seed, the same card order, and the same pressure for every challenger. That means leaderboards are not only global, they are personal. You are not just chasing a score. You are daring other players to beat the machine you forged.

Generative AI tools were used during development to create and refine some pre-generated 2D visual assets used in the game and on its Steam store page, including backgrounds, interface artwork, cosmetic previews, and selected sprite concepts. These assets were reviewed, edited, composited, and integrated by the development team. The game does not generate content with AI during gameplay and does not connect to live AI services.
