Why Early Access?

“Quillzyra already has a playable foundation, but important parts of the experience are still evolving. We want to build the final version with people who use the same characters over longer periods of time.

Player feedback will help us improve:
  • Character creation and templates
  • Memories, relationships and continuity
  • Conversation quality and hardware guidance
  • The optional character portrait workflow
  • The desktop interface and accessibility

Some systems may change significantly before version 1.0.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last approximately 12 to 18 months. This estimate may change based on player feedback and the development needs we identify.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for version 1.0 to be more stable, consistent and easier to use.

Areas we plan to improve include:
  • Character creation and reusable templates
  • Memory, relationships and conversation continuity
  • Quality recommendations for different computers
  • Portrait consistency and workflow
  • Backup and character transfer tools
  • The overall desktop interface

The final scope will depend on player feedback, so these plans may change.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Windows build is playable as a local character studio. Players can create and edit characters, keep separate conversations, choose between the three included conversation quality levels, manage persistent memories and relationships, and keep their data on their own device. Character portraits are available through the optional Local Image Generation DLC on compatible NVIDIA hardware.

What is still in development:
  • Broader hardware testing and clearer recommendations
  • More consistent memory and relationship behavior
  • Improvements to character creation and the interface
  • Safer migration as experimental systems change

Quillzyra is currently available only for Windows and does not use cloud-based AI processing.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Quillzyra's Early Access base price will be lower than its version 1.0 base price. We plan one price increase when version 1.0 is released. Existing Early Access owners will receive version 1.0 as the same product without buying the base game again.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Steam Discussions will be our main feedback channel.

We plan to gather feedback about:
  • Character creation
  • Memories, relationships and continuity
  • Conversation quality and performance on different computers
  • Portrait creation
  • Accessibility and ease of use

We will publish regular development updates and explain which systems are still open to change. Player reports and long-term examples will help us decide what to improve, redesign or remove before version 1.0.”

About This Game

Create characters that remember

Quillzyra is a private, local character studio for creating persistent AI characters and talking with them over time. Build personalities, appearances, histories and relationships, then keep every conversation and memory on your own computer.

Everything you need to chat is included

The base game includes three conversation quality levels: Low, Medium and High. Choose the one that best matches your computer. No additional chat packs are required.

Optional image generation

The Local Image Generation DLC is sold separately and requires a compatible NVIDIA GPU with enough VRAM. Quillzyra's character creation and chat features work without it.

Quillzyra: Character Studio uses generative AI locally on the user's computer to create and interact with fictional characters. The application may generate character dialogue, personality text, memory summaries, character descriptions, and optional 2D character portraits based on user input.

The AI features are intended for fictional character creation, simulation, and conversation. The application does not rely on an external AI service during gameplay.
