What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The original goal for this game was 25 time bending puzzles to wrack your brain. At around the %90 mark another idea for a game mechanic was devised as well as a story to tell. The game as it was originally intended is complete but there is an urge to continue with the new ideas and make an even bigger, better game.
There is the added fact that even after 100s of hours of play testing there still may be bugs and problems we haven't encountered.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 6 months. Christmas 2026”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include.
- more puzzles with more game mechanics
- the conclusion of the story
- a bullet hell level
- a car chase level
- added sound design and visual effects”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently playable with functioning menus, UI, controls and puzzle mechanics. There are currently 28 puzzle rooms to play and some minor story beats at the beginning and end.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will be raised for the finished game”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will play a crucial part in the final stages of this games development. There will undoubtably be bugs and other problems that such a small team will have missed and are reliant on the communitys feedback.

About This Game

Escape Wheel is a 2D puzzler using time inversion mechanics.                                                                                  Subject 42 wakes up in a lab at the Palindrome research facility with no memory of how they got there. Help 42 escape by solving  25+ time bending, and mind bending, puzzle rooms.
Each puzzle has two rooms, one moves Forward in time. You'll move blocks, press buttons and move 42 around to prepare for the second half of the puzzle. Once you enter the Escape Wheel time will reverse and you must use the movements from the first half to help solve the second.
Puzzle mechanics include, moveable walk, sliding block, button combinations, precise movements of the character and certain object unaffected by time manipulation.
