About This Game
Welcome to Office, Mayor
Hello, Mayor is a pixel-art city management game about the work behind urban growth.

You have been appointed to lead a developing regional city. Vacant land is waiting to be planned, documents and public requests keep arriving at your office, residents expect better housing, jobs, schools, healthcare, and environmental conditions, while companies arrive with investment proposals—and their own demands.

Building a road, approving a factory, or funding a school is only the beginning. The real challenge is deciding what the city needs now, what it can afford, and which long-term risks you are willing to accept.
Build the City. Govern the Consequences.
Lay out roads and districts, then construct housing, commercial areas, farms, factories, and public services. Development changes the city's population, employment, revenue, industrial structure, and quality of life.

Your budget cannot solve every problem at once. Balance expansion against stability, economic growth against public welfare, and visible short-term achievements against investments that may take years to pay off.
Turn Local Problems into Public Policy
Resident complaints, news reports, official documents, and emergencies flow into your municipal information desk. Some matters can be handled directly. Others require an investigation, coordination between departments, or a formal proposal for a government meeting.

A decision does not disappear when you press a button. It moves into implementation and returns through changing city indicators, follow-up reports, public feedback, and new event chains.
Chair Meetings Where People Disagree
Meetings are not cutscenes. Officials speak according to their position, personality, experience, and departmental priorities. Hear their arguments, identify risks, negotiate between competing interests, and decide which plans deserve the city's money and time.

Support, opposition, and compromise shape the final resolution—but even an approved proposal must still be carried out on the city map.
Manage People, Offices, and Responsibility
Review officials' records and abilities, appoint suitable people to key positions, and monitor the work of municipal departments. Personnel decisions affect departmental stability, project efficiency, and the results of your administration.

Your office connects personnel management, meetings, development programs, investigation records, municipal assets, weekly reviews, and the everyday machinery of government.
Investment Always Comes with Conditions
Study company proposals and weigh industrial direction, employment, land use, public costs, and financial incentives. Negotiate for terms that match the city you are trying to build.

A new company may bring jobs and tax revenue, but it may also increase pressure on public services, create environmental risks, or make the local economy dependent on a single industry. Not every deal is a good deal.
Choose What Kind of City This Will Become
Build an industrial powerhouse, an education-focused and livable city, a commercial center, a stable agricultural economy, or an investment-driven boomtown. Construction priorities, policies, appointments, and event decisions combine into different development paths.

Complete short- and mid-term objectives, recover from mistakes, save your progress, and continue shaping your term in office. The city will not ask for one perfect answer—but it will remember every choice.
