Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Bankr's simulation core already runs end-to-end — but a systems-heavy banking sim only gets balanced by real players stress-testing it. Early Access lets us tune difficulty, pacing, and how hard the regulator bites against how people actually play, and prioritize the divisions and scenarios players want most.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to spend roughly 1-2 months in Early Access, depending on player feedback and how far the division and scenario roadmap expands.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more playable divisions and macro scenarios, deeper Intern-Career content, additional personality archetypes and events, UI polish, and ongoing balance passes driven by Early Access data. The simulation core stays; the content and polish around it grow.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable start to finish. Run a bank as CEO or climb the ladder in Intern-Career mode across 11 divisions, 5 macro scenarios, and 12 personality archetypes — all on a live IFRS 9 balance-sheet engine. Rival banks, hostile takeovers, the regulator enforcement loop, achievements, and the end-of-run story are all in. Expect some rough edges and balance tuning still to come.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features. Players who buy during Early Access keep the lower price and get all updates.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We read every discussion thread and feedback form. Balance changes, bug fixes, and roadmap priorities are shaped directly by player reports throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

Bankr is a deep banking strategy simulation. You are the CEO. You originate loans, gather deposits, manage capital, and navigate crises — on a real IFRS 9 credit model and a tick-by-tick balance sheet. Every metric on screen (CAR, NPL, LCR, NSFR, NIM, ROE) is the output of a live simulation, not flavor text.

Three minutes, three decisions.

The clock advances one in-game day every two seconds. In a typical session you'll trade off credit, capital, and liquidity dozens of times — and every choice updates the same balance sheet the regulator scores you on.

A BANK, SIMULATED HONESTLY

• ORIGINATE & MANAGE CREDIT — Seven loan types with their own behavior. Stages update day by day per IFRS 9: Performing, Watchlist, Delinquent, Default, Write-off.

• GATHER DEPOSITS, FUND GROWTH — Eight deposit categories from checking to brokered CDs. Set rates, watch your loan-to-deposit ratio, balance funding cost against liquidity coverage.

• BUILD A FULL BANK — Eleven unlockable divisions: Corporate, Mortgage, Private Banking, Investment Banking, Asset Management, Insurance, Derivatives, FX Trading, Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Syndicated Lending. Each runs its own P&L with revenue, provisions, and ROAC.

• COMPETE WITH RIVALS — Other banks operate alongside you. They grow, lose share, react to your rate moves, get acquired, or fail. Launch a hostile takeover bid — or defend against one with poison pills, white knights, or scorched earth.

• SURVIVE THE REGULATOR — A live compliance score. Capital Plans when CAR breaches, Funding Plans when NSFR slips, stress tests, sector shocks, and a 180-day enforcement clock that ends in regulator seizure if you stall.

• INTERN CAREER MODE — Don't want to run the whole bank yet? Pick a path — Credit Analyst, Treasury Analyst, Risk Officer, Branch Manager — work the ranks across 90-day reviews, hit a capstone evaluation, and promote to Director.

• PERSONALITY SYSTEM — A 5-question quiz at the start sets four personality axes and seeds seven gameplay multipliers. Twelve archetypes from The Pragmatist to The Shark. Two players starting the same scenario get different runs.

• FIVE MACRO SCENARIOS — Growth Sprint, Stable Years, Regulatory Crunch, Global Shock, High Stakes. Pick your difficulty by choosing the macro environment.

• EVERY RUN IS A STORY — Achievements, a quarterly score, and a generated "Story of the Run" narrative when it ends — whether you win, go bankrupt, or get taken over.

BUILT ON A REAL SIMULATION ENGINE

Bankr isn't a thin re-skin of a generic tycoon. It's a Rust-based simulation core driving a native React UI, with a 10 Hz tick loop. Loans accrue interest, deposits accrue expense, ratios update in real time. Every action lands on a single command bus — reversible, save-stateable, auditable.

DESIGN INTENT

Banking sims have always cheated on the math. The numbers don't add up, the regulators are vibes, and the only failure mode is "go bankrupt slowly." Bankr is the version of the genre that takes its own simulation seriously.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some character portrait sprite sheets and brand/division imagery shipped with Bankr are produced with generative AI tools during development, then reviewed and edited by the team before inclusion. All game text, simulation code, balance-sheet math, ratio logic, and gameplay systems are human-authored. No content is AI-generated at runtime — every asset is pre-rendered and pinned in the build.
