Why Early Access?

“SiegeBlock is playable now, but it is still growing. Early Access lets me balance the block-combat system with real player feedback, improve readability, polish units and animations, and expand the amount of content before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly 6 to 12 months. The exact timing may change depending on balancing, content scope and player feedback, but the goal is to leave Early Access once the main progression, enemy variety, polish pass and stability work are complete.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more polished unit animations, additional balancing for troops, enemies and bosses, more complete encyclopedia and tutorial content, additional sound and visual feedback, stronger localization review, more quality-of-life options, achievement tuning, and a final pass on progression pacing. The Early Access version already contains the core block puzzle, auto-battle, stage progression, advisors, upgrades and permanent progression systems, but some content and balance are still being refined.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes the main playable loop: block-piece controls, line clears, troop summoning, auto-battle waves, bosses, stage progression, advisors with active skills, permanent upgrades, tutorial flow, encyclopedia entries, options, save data and multiple game modes. Players should expect an active work-in-progress build with playable systems, but also ongoing balance changes, art polish and usability improvements.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The plan is to keep the price close to the initial Early Access price while the game is still being polished. A small price increase may happen near or at the full release if the final amount of content grows significantly, but there is no plan for sudden or frequent price changes during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will be reviewed through Steam Discussions and any official community/contact links listed on the Steam store page. I am especially interested in feedback about balance, tutorial clarity, readability, difficulty spikes, bugs, accessibility and which systems feel the most fun or confusing.”

SiegeBlock is a medieval hybrid of falling-block puzzle, real-time kingdom defense and roguelite progression: clear lines to summon troops, power up your army and defend your base against waves and bosses.

Falling-block puzzle on a 10x20 board with rotation, hold, next pieces, hard drop, soft drop and lock delay.

Combos, Perfect Clears and premium plays spawn better units and debuff effects.

Kingdom defense against enemy waves, biomes and bosses.

Troop system with ranks and special units tied to counselors.

Roguelite progression with persistent upgrades between runs.

2D medieval fantasy cartoon art style.

Replayable runs with procedural variation of biomes and scenarios.

HOW TO PLAY

Place geometric pieces on a 10x20 board with rotation, hold and hard drop. Every line you clear summons troops iSingle-player: Story, Endless, Sandbox and Frenetic Arena.

Local Co-op (2 players): Each player with their own board, defending a shared arena. Scaled difficulty for two.

Local Versus (1v1): Two boards, two kingdoms and a central arena. Spawn troops against your rival and launch debuffs to win.

nto a real-time battle against enemy waves. Your combo quality matters: combo chains, Perfect Clears and premium plays spawn stronger units and special effects.

Generative AI was used as a development assistant for pre-release asset iteration, writing support, localization drafts, ideation and productivity tasks. Some visual assets and draft text/assets may have been assisted or iterated with generative AI before being reviewed and integrated into the game. This content is static and does not generate new content at runtime. The game does not use live generative AI to create content during gameplay. No player prompts are sent to an AI service at runtime. AI-assisted material is reviewed manually before inclusion.
