Why Early Access?

“We are pushing a high-speed, movement-first combat loop that relies on precise dodge windows and verticality. Early Access allows us to gather data from thousands of players to ensure the controls feel snappy and the Ether Energy economy is balanced.

Alpha Storm is a fresh take on the third-person arcade shooter, featuring a unique combat rhythm fueled by Ether abilities and devastating squad ultimates. We are entering Early Access to work directly with players to fine-tune the combat flow, perfect the power fantasy, and dial in the difficulty.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current roadmap keeps ALPHA STORM in Early Access for approximately one to two years. We will be deploying updated builds at major development milestones as we march toward our 1.0 release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to tell the story through well-crafted animated cinematics for all major story beats. Alongside cinematics, we also hope to give attack abilities, boss transitions, and other animation opportunities a flashy, stylish cinematic treatment through expert direction and animation.

Our hope is for ALPHA STORM to be moderate in length (AA) and overall scope, but packed with fun fights against hordes of enemies through about 4 to 5 levels with 5 to 6 bosses.


By utilizing player feedback during the prototyping and Alpha stages of Early Access, one of our primary goals is to refine the core third-person arcade shooting. We aim to blend this with the strategic usage of squad-based assist attacks, flashy, hard-hitting abilities, and team-based ultimates.



What is the current state of the Early Access version?
