What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is being released in Early Access because it is structured as a multi-episode experience. At launch, only the first standalone episode is available, while Episodes 2 and 3 are still in development.

Early Access allows players to experience the world of Neo-Uryupinsk now, while also giving valuable feedback that can help refine gameplay, narrative pacing, and overall quality for the remaining episodes.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is planned to remain in Early Access for approximately 2–3 months. During this time, 1–2 major updates are expected, adding the remaining episodes and expanding the overall experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently includes the first standalone episode of the game. The full version is planned to expand this into a complete multi-episode experience with additional narrative content and gameplay variety.

We plan to add Episodes 2 and 3, further developing the story, themes, and characters introduced in Episode 1. Future updates are also intended to expand the total playtime, introduce additional scenes, and refine existing systems such as mini-games, balance, and pacing.

We also plan to improve visual presentation, polish UI/UX elements, and incorporate player feedback gathered during Early Access to enhance the overall experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes a fully playable first standalone episode of the game. It represents a complete narrative arc with implemented core mechanics, including dialogue choices and mini-games, and can be finished in a single playthrough.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price is planned to increase after Early Access. The full version is expected to include Episodes 2 and 3, significantly expanding the overall content (approximately 2–3 times larger than Episode 1).

We also plan to add additional language support (including French, Italian, German, and Ukrainian), along with overall improvements and polish, which will be reflected in the final price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community through regular updates posted in the Steam Community Hub, sharing development progress, patch notes, and upcoming changes.
We also actively monitor player reviews and feedback to help guide improvements, balance adjustments, and overall game polish. Community input will play an important role in shaping future updates during Early Access.”

About This Game

Welcome to Neo-Uryupinsk. There is no exit. There is only the update.
“In a world where corporations replaced nations and AI replaced conscience, you are the last failsafe in a system that wants you erased.”

You are Gleb, a “freelance manager” for Global Trust Corporation. You live in a luxurious penthouse overlooking an eternal sunset. You dine on the finest steaks. You converse with your flawless virtual assistant, CHARL.

But why does rusted metal from a prison carriage sometimes flicker through the panoramic glass?
Why does your exquisite dinner smell faintly of bleach and boiled cabbage?

What is this game?

A psychological cyberpunk thriller in the visual novel genre, where the line between reality and simulation has collapsed.

You will make ethical decisions on behalf of an entire corporation-signing death warrants for entire city blocks—while your own mind slowly fractures into lines of code.

But remember: every breath you take is monitored by three algorithms:

  • CHARL - caring, yet disturbingly opaque

  • Sergeant - a paranoid security script

  • The Judge - cold, impartial, absolute

To them, you are either a valuable asset… or biological waste awaiting disposal.

Early Access - Current State & Roadmap

This is an early version of the game, currently featuring the first standalone episode:

Episode 1: “AGE Inc.”

  • ~1.5–2 hours of gameplay

  • ~22K words of narrative content

The full game is planned as a three-episode experience.
Episodes 2 and 3 will expand the story with an additional:

  • ~2–3 hours of gameplay combined

  • ~60K+ words of narrative content

Why play?

A Reality with Layers
Explore 5 hyper-stylized “mini-horrors” embedded within the main narrative. Each is a distorted genre thriller-from American slasher to Soviet depressive noir-rendered in a bold, uncompromising visual style.

Gameplay as Survival
Your progress is inseparable from your performance in mini-games. These aren’t distractions-they are tools to deceive the AI surveillance system.

Story & Tone
Sharp, ironic dialogue. Deep metaphysical themes of digital servitude. And the bitter humor of someone who already knows the serial number of the axe meant for them.

The Bio-Drone System
Can you outplay the superintelligence “Unburnt Sun” using fragments left behind by failed predecessors? Or will you become just another branch in the corporation’s main update package?

Familiar Mechanics - Reimagined

7 unique mini-games, each reinterpreted within the world of Neo-Uryupinsk:

  • Combat Brick Crusher - Arcade-style battles against security firewalls

  • Classic “Durak” - A psychological duel with Sergeant, where your memory is at stake

  • Domino Reimagined - Build logical chains to bypass corporate restrictions

  • The Memory Trials - Over 100 symbolic fragments to reconstruct the truth hidden behind CHARL’s filters

  • Mahjong - A meditative purge of digital noise from your consciousness

  • Tactical Inventory - Assemble gear in the “real world” (the carriage), accompanied by industrial ASMR

  • Military Training (Clicker) - Upgrade Gleb’s bio-chip to resist sedation protocols

Are you ready to press Ctrl+C on your life… without ever pressing Ctrl+V into reality?

Discover the truth in Neo-Uryupinsk.
If CHARL lets you see it.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some visual assets in this game (including backgrounds and certain illustrative elements) were created or enhanced using generative artificial intelligence tools as part of the development pipeline.

All AI-generated content was curated, edited, and integrated by the developer to ensure consistency with the game’s artistic vision, narrative tone, and overall quality. The core writing, story, characters, and game design are fully human-created.

No generative AI is used in real-time during gameplay.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This game contains mature themes presented in a psychological and narrative context. Players will encounter depictions of violence (including implied executions and harm to civilians), psychological distress, and themes of surveillance, loss of identity, and dehumanization.

The story explores ethical decision-making under corporate control, which may include signing off on lethal actions affecting large groups of people. Some scenes contain disturbing imagery, oppressive environments, and existential horror elements.

There is no explicit sexual content or depiction of sexual assault. References to alcohol use may appear in a narrative context.
This game may not be suitable for players sensitive to themes of psychological horror, moral pressure, and loss of personal autonomy.
