Knowledge is not given, but earned through lived experience. You move forward by following your own sense of curiosity, gradually shaping a personal path through a world that never tells you where you should go next.

desol is an open-world style exploration game where you play as a lone traveler, navigating an ominous desert where
colossal cube monoliths reshape the sands beneath your feet.

  As a lone traveler, you are fragile, mortal, and always searching for precious water in a quiet desert that does not care about your existence. Plan your path carefully, use your time wisely, and accept that death will always catch up.
  

• Piece together a world of fragmented truths

  What waits at the edge of the world? Where do the Monoliths come from? Does the mythical Sea truly exist?

  Every desert resident has their own version of the truth, but no one has the whole picture. Follow rumors, strange stones, ruins, and implausible stories to form your own understanding of the desert, the Monoliths, and the Sea.
  

• Learn to live with giants

  Cube Monoliths are not your enemies or allies. They simply exist, rolling through the desert according to their own unknowable logic. Watch closely, learn their patterns, and one day, that knowledge may help you reach places you could never survive alone. 

  But approach at your own risk. The Monolith does not care where you are. If you stand in its path, it will crush you without mercy, and without malice.
