About This Game

The sea doesn't owe you anything.

Not survival. Not glory. Not a second chance... But it will hand you a ship, a cannon, and enough salvaged debris to turn that cannon into something no gunsmith ever sanctioned.

SailOn is a hand-painted 3D pirate naval combat roguelite where every cannonball is a weapon you design. Stack modular projectile parts into combinations the admiralty would call illegal - a chain of ricocheting cluster shells, a charged round that detonates into freezing mist, a shot that splits mid-arc and hunts on its own. Compose, fire, adapt. A journey that starts with plain iron, ends with something the sea will never forget.

Sail out from a home port that grows with every voyage. Plot a course through a procedurally-shaped map across five distinct biomes. Fight. Loot. Fall. Come back to the docks, bank what you brought home, unlock new workbenches, and push further next time. Knowing when to stop the journey and cash-in your rewards is a skill every pirate should have!

A bad run teaches you a mechanic. A good run mints a legend!

🧪 Build your own cannonball

The heart of SailOn is the atom system - 100+ modular projectile parts that snap together into combinations we never explicitly designed. Splitters, chains, freezers, homers, detonators, charges, phosphoric shells, chain-shot, grapeshot, bombs, emitters, and A WHOLE LOT MORE. Mix and match different atoms to produce infinite combinations of devastating projectiles. The "one clever shot" that ends up in every review? It's yours to engineer. We just built the parts AND BREAK THE GAME!

🗺️ A new sea every voyage

Procedurally generated voyage maps across 5 distinct biomes, stitched together from 50+ encounters. Weather, enemy fleets, hidden coves, traders, altars - nothing stays where you left it.

⚓ Return to port. Come back stronger.

A unique twist on the Roguelite formula. Between runs, your hub grows. Unlock the Workshop to refine new atom parts, add modifiers to weapons, modify your ship and expand your magic. Open the Docks for better ships. Cultivate the Orange Farm to cure the scurvy you'll absolutely get. Every doubloon you bring back builds the next captain's starting edge.

🎒 Pack your hold like a pirate

200+ items on a grid-based inventory system. Every component, trinket, and power cell takes up real space. Tetris meets treasure chest meets "why did I bring a third anchor."

⚔️ Combat with dials, not buttons

Every stat on your ship - reload, charge, shell behavior, firing cadence - is a lever. Extreme builds are the point. Ramming frigates with a single oversized round? Fine. Splitting your cannonballs into dozens of smaller rounds? Also fine. Both in the same run? Strongly encouraged. THAT'S THE POINT!

👻 Ghost Captains - you sail alone, but you're never the only one out there

Ships built by other players appear in your run as enemy fleets - their names, their flags, their horrifying cannon builds. Sink FriendlyPirate123's frigate today or tomorrow, yours might be haunting someone else's ocean halfway across the world. Solo run. Asymmetric legend!

🎵 A soundtrack made for salt air

Original score built for voyage rhythm - shanties on calm water, percussion when the horizon sprouts sails, and the specific silence right before a cannon speaks.

Sail out. Come back richer. Come back stranger. Come back until the sea stops having anything new to throw at you. Whatever you do - remember to always Sail On!
