What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Crusoe & Agarthas: Chronicles of Speranza is a project that thrives on feedback. We plan to adjust the pacing of the musical segments, and we need to test how players perceive the narrative. Early Access allows us to adjust the script and refine the storytelling if certain chapters require more clarity

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our intention is for the game to remain in Early Access for approximately four months, although this timeframe may vary depending on the feedback received and the time needed to achieve the quality we seek for the final version.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to expand Crusoe’s journey. We aim to introduce further narrative arcs that delve deeper into the mysteries of Speranza Island, along with additional musical tracks and refined interactions with the Agarthas as development progresses.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the first part of the story is fully playable, featuring the initial chapters and the core rhythmic mechanics. The decision-making system and visual atmosphere are fully implemented. For a list of specific features already available, please refer to the 'About This Game' section below.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may moderately increase the price as we add new content and approach the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively engage with our community through Steam forums and social media. Player feedback regarding rhythmic difficulty and narrative flow will be essential in shaping the final experience.”

About This Game

An apocryphal version Defoe didn’t want you to read Forget everything you know about Robinson Crusoe. This is the authentic chronicle, recovered directly from a lost sock belonging to Daniel Defoe. Crusoe & Agarthas: Chronicles of Speranza is a biting parody of the "capitalist trágala" and its utter absurdities.

On your journey through Speranza Island, you will not be alone, nor will you be able to abandon your song. Can you overcome its rhythmic challenges without losing your soul to the market's "júnjuma"?

Explore Speranza Island and its mysteries:

  • Satirical Narrative: A branching story where your decisions parody the rise and dynamics of capitalist power.

  • Rhythmic Challenges: Here, music is not merely art; it is the essential tool for navigating a system designed to consume you.

  • Artisanal Visual Style: Art entirely hand-drawn by the author using mixed techniques, playing with colour and texture to breathe life into a forgotten manuscript.
