What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“TL;DR: Fury Unleashed is coming together really nicely, but we want to make our game even better! You can help us do that with you priceless feedback! At the current stage of development it would take about 12 hours to complete the game. The price will likely increase as we develop and add more content to it.

We have spent four years on development, during which we’ve tested TONS of ideas, mechanics, and more. Finally, with our Early Access build, we have a game that brings together all the best design choices – the perfect playground for our dedicated players. We want to finalize the development phase with your direct assistance, because we know our great community can help push our ideas even further, and introduce ones we never even thought of!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We intend to leave Early Access in early 2020. The game has improved a lot since its Early Access release in 2017, and we will spend the time left polishing it to make it the best game we possibly can.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Current version has three comic books fully done. With the final Early Access update, we'll add the epilogue, which will be a bit smaller than a single comic book in terms of content, but will bring conclusion to the storyline. There will be many more features available for the player’s character too, including local co-op, weapons and more customization options. The sound effects will also get a complete overhaul.

And we’re planning to add more meta-systems to the game, like challenges, random events and additional game modes for extra replayability.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“As it currently stands we’ve got about 80% of the content slated for the full game. The first three comic book settings are complete, with all basic enemies, and three main bosses and nine mini-bosses each. All the gameplay mechanics are working well though, so we probably won’t change them. The same goes for art direction. The soundtracks for are of final quality and sound effects are mostly done.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“At the end of Early Access the game will be richer in content – we’ll add content throughout the game the epilogue, among other things, so it’s likely it’ll come with a slightly higher price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We believe that the community will be a great source of ideas for cool items, skills or random events that we could add to the game. We also want to create a platform where everyone can talk to us about anything – starting with general ideas, through balance tweaks, finishing at new features, etc. We really think that the community will help us make the final build of Fury Unleashed the greatest experience possible! You can reach us through our Facebook, Twitter and here on the Steam page. We’ll keep you posted about everything new to the game.”

Update #57 - Hotfixes and other fixes

Hi again!

The last update brought a lot of new features... as well as some bugs, which we're targetting now:
  • Critical hits should again work as intended (thanks Nikola for reporting it!)
  • Skill display at the end of a page on Incredible Mode is incredible now instead of bugged
  • Sniper Soldier regained his sight and now shoots Fury on... sight (thanks Sherif!)
  • War Mech boss won't spawn an unlimited amount of projectiles ever again (thanks qaser7!)
  • Quest timer now stops on sketch events, boss fights etc.
  • Other small bugfixes
But that's not all! As always, we are adding new features and QoL changes:
  • Improved display of information about fast travel on the map screen
  • You now choose to play single-player or co-op directly from the main menu
  • Minor tweaks to tutorial level. Sawblades should be much easier to air-dash through
  • Camera shake adjustment added to gameplay options (thanks Oilyscoob for the suggestion)

Per usual, join us on our social media to stay updated or just to say "Hi!"
(Discord, Facebook, Twitter).

Keep calm and unleash the fury!

Update #56 - Chaos invasions, weapon sets, new skills, more Fury!

Hi everyone!

Today’s update brings lots of new things bigger and smaller, as well as many bug fixes and quality of life changes:

 Sketch events
Fury’s world becomes even more unstable. From time to time, as you play, you will encounter strange events, which makes the whole comic frame you are in lose colors. Chaos invades the world, and you are forced to fight against it to return it to how it supposed to be… or is it?

 Weapon switching
Now you can hold two sets of weapons (thanks to cylervan for the suggestion) and switch between them wherever you want by using the corresponding button (by default: C on keyboard, right thumbstick press on gamepad)! No longer will you be forced to use one tool for every situation, as you might want to burn some enemies with a flamethrower and pierce others with laser beams.

 Better movement
Fury’s got new dance moves. Jokes aside, controlling your character feels better than ever with improvements to how he/she snaps to and vault over terrain obstacles. Leave your double jump to when it is needed to crush, kill, and destroy.

 New skill tree
Many improvements come to the way how you customize your character. The whole skill tree is now on a single page, branching into three paths in which you can freely upgrade (and downgrade, restoring spent points) your hero to your liking. There are also new skills available, like Stomp Shockwave, Temporary Invulnerability, and Superpower Shield.

Other than that, there are lots of smaller changes and fixes, as in:
  • New levels / room configurations and a new type of secret rooms, where you fight waves of enemies (thanks Nikola for the suggestion)
  • Better audio - new effects and ambient sounds
  • The map stays open when accessed by quick tapping the corresponding button
  • Proper loading screen was added
  • Change in the naming of difficulty levels ("Normal" is now "Hard")
  • Balance and visual improvements
  • Total annihilation of reported bugs

We hope you will have as much fun playing the game as we have to create it for you. There is still more to come, mainly in the inclusion of the fourth world: the sketchbook. We are working hard on making it an awesome experience you are all waiting for, so get ready for it!

As always, thank you all for your continuous support as well as hello to every new Fury out there! Remember to stay updated with our progress or come chat with us about anything you like on our social media (Discord Facebook Twitter).

Stay awesome!
