About This Game

A survival horror game about liminality and depersonalization, telling the story of Scarlett Shinohara as she descends into warped recollections of her past in order to uncover her own future. After returning to her old school, she has found herself lost in a distorted nightmare grown from her memories and guilt of past mistakes. Hallways stretch on for miles, lights flicker and trap Scarlett within darkness, and haunting sounds echo from every corner. Navigate treacherous rooms through in-between time while avoiding the nightmares of days gone by. After all, the only way is forward.

Escape the Nightmare

Exipath features a tightly-interwoven school built from the memories of Scarlett's youth, and the troubles she never truly moved past. Solve puzzles, collect clues, and discover fragments of your past in order to unlock new rooms and progress further. Each room has been hand drawn and built with care to embody a rich atmosphere as you explore the school. Just remember to always stay in the light.

Remember Your Past

Scarlett possess a limited inventory of both personality traits and fragmented memories, only able to possess four at a time. Some memories will aid you, while others will hinder you. Meanwhile, personality traits offer unique abilities to help in your survival, such as quicker movement and stronger vision in the dark. Balancing your inventory is key to survival. Hold dearly on to your parts most valuable, and allow what remains in the past to slip through your fingers. This inventory system serves as an evolution of the classic survival horror formula, offering a unique and deeply personal experience.

Face the Dark

Terrors of Scarlett's past have manifested to haunt her, creating danger at every turn. Unable to fight back, you must avoid and hide from enemies to survive, while holding on to memories most precious in order to heal. Some monsters, however, are not so simple to avoid. Rest within safe rooms to restore your health, and use limited items wisely to save your progress.
