How It Works

Unitra is a lightweight desktop app that runs alongside your game. It listens to in-game voice, Discord or any other desktop audio, reads the part of the screen you choose, and shows the translation as a click-through overlay on top of your game. No alt-tabbing, no per-game setup.

Your voice stays on your PC. Speech and screen text recognition run on your PC, and when your PC is under heavy load, cloud assist moves part of the processing to Unitra's private cloud without ever touching raw audio. Translations are shown as text in a click-through overlay and in the app window. With the optional Voice Output feature, your own speech is translated and spoken in a generated voice through a virtual microphone, so teammates hear you in their language. All of this output is generated at runtime from the audio, text or screen content you provide; no pre-generated AI art, audio or text ships with the product.
