Why Early Access?

“It’s important that the community can contribute ideas as early as possible. This should be fun for you, the players—not the programmer. We’ve laid a solid foundation, but we need feedback and ideas to move forward with this phase of development.”

“Around 12 Months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We'd like to make further visual improvements and also enhance elements like sound effects and music. In addition, we still need to add a few more machines to make the game more varied.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently you can build the factory, follow the tutorial, upgrade machines, build different machines to improve the outcome, regenerate your shield, defeat unlimited levels and waves of enemies and you can also prestige to reset the factory but start with a boost.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“That's highly unlikely. The price should stay the same, even if the game's content is significantly expanded. It's possible that a DLC or a sequel to the game might be released in the future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a Discord server, and you can also share feedback and chat with other players through the Steam Community. We’ll read all of this and participate in these discussions to incorporate new solutions and features.”

About This Game

Welcome to Shape Together

Shape Together blends factory-building with wave combat: lay mines, belts, and machines, automate shapes, and funnel your production to break the enemy heart. Build smart, adapt to new rules—and play solo or with friends on Steam.

Build mines on ore, connect conveyor belts, and use splitters and teleport belts so your shapes always get where they need to go. Shape machines refine your parts step by step—from simple base shapes to more intricate pieces—turning a rough idea into an ever-smarter production line.

Combat, waves & bosses

Your factory isn’t just for show: what you produce hurts the enemy when it lands in the right place. Waves get tougher, and bosses put you on the clock. Watch for weaknesses and resistances—the wrong setup costs you time; the right one wins the fight.

Shield & defense

As you progress, a factory shield protects you—and enemies can wear it down. Unlock shield tools, route the right items to recover shield, and keep your line running while things get hectic.

Upgrade your machines

Spend gold to level up each machine—faster cycles, more throughput, progress you can feel. You choose where to invest: raw output, your shape chain, or defense.

Build faster: copy, cut & paste

Select, copy, cut, and paste—including preview and rotation—so you never have to rebuild big layouts from scratch. Perfect for reusing a working chunk or cleanly redesigning your factory.

Prestige & artifacts

When you’re far enough along, you can prestige: your current factory resets, but you earn prestige tokens to buy or upgrade artifacts—permanent bonuses to damage, mining, shield, elements, and more. Every new run stays fresh without feeling like a dead end.

Progress: levels, waves & unlocks

Advance through encounter levels and waves, unlock new buildings and upgrades, and rethink your strategy. What worked early won’t always fly later—that’s what keeps the factory game loop alive.

Co-op on Steam

Play with friends: your Steam friends can join your save, with an optional lobby password. Plan together, optimize in parallel—or just survive the next wave as a team. Will your best friend dump all the gold into defense while you’re waiting on gold to finally push damage?

Saves & your pace

In each save you tune settings and play the way you like. Chill and optimize—or rush the next hurdle. You set the tempo.
