Why Early Access?

“Split Fate is already playable, but we want to involve the community before the full 1.0 release. Our goal during Early Access is to collect feedback about the co-op experience, level balance, puzzles, performance, controls, and online multiplayer stability.

Player feedback will help us polish the game, improve the levels, fix issues faster, and make the final release stronger.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently plan to keep Split Fate in Early Access for approximately 3 to 6 months. This may change depending on player feedback, bug fixing, balancing, and the amount of polish needed before the full 1.0 release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more polished levels, improved co-op gameplay, better online stability, more refined UI, additional sound and visual effects, improved enemy behavior, better balancing, and overall bug fixes based on community feedback.

We also plan to improve the menu flow, level selection, player feedback, and general game feel before the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Split Fate includes the core 2-player co-op gameplay, playable levels, character abilities, puzzle mechanics, enemies, pushable objects, projectiles, level completion flow, and online multiplayer support.

The game is playable, but some areas may still need polishing, balancing, performance improvements, and bug fixes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer the game at a lower price during Early Access as a thank you to early supporters. The price may increase when the game reaches the full 1.0 release, depending on the amount of new content, polish, and improvements added during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to collect feedback through the Steam Community Hub, player reviews, bug reports, discussions, and direct feedback from players. We will use this feedback to improve online stability, level design, controls, balance, performance, and overall gameplay experience.

Community feedback will help us decide which areas need the most polish before the full release.”

About This Game

Split Fate is a 2D cooperative game for two players where you control two characters connected to opposite elements — fire and ice. Each character has their own unique abilities, and the game can only be completed if both players work together. This is not a solo experience; everything is built around interaction between two players.

Together, you progress through levels, solve puzzles, fight enemies, and move forward in a world that is divided into two parts — fire and ice. In some areas, you need to use fire abilities, in others — ice, and most of the time you will need to combine both to open paths or solve simple but coordination-based challenges. Sometimes one player must help the other move forward, and sometimes both players need to act at the same time.

The game includes interaction with the environment: you can move objects, use them to reach new areas, activate buttons, open doors, and create paths. Most situations require teamwork, as they cannot be completed alone.

There are also enemies throughout the levels that must be handled together. Players need to support each other, stay close, and act as a team. If one player makes a mistake or falls behind, it affects both players.
