Stellar Office is a room‑based point‑and‑click exploration game centered on observing and researching almost everything in the room. Through association and interaction with objects, as well as analysis aided by external tools, players will continuously deduce the hidden logic behind phenomena.

About This Game

Stellar Office is a puzzle‑solving experience rooted in theoretical mathematics and theoretical physics. Stripping away interactions with physical objects, the game builds its puzzles entirely upon concepts, rules and clashes of perception.

The space players inhabit is no ordinary real‑world setting, but a mental domain that visualises and demonstrates abstract principles. Gameplay revolves not around manipulating items, but revising ingrained intuitions and making sense of anomalies produced by underlying rules.

It features a re‑examination of spacetime and causality: breaking everyday notions of sequence and distance, examining how observation shapes what is perceived, and analysing fractures and reorganisations within causal chains.

Topological thinking comes into play: overlooking superficial shapes to focus on structures preserved under continuous transformations, and experiencing strange phenomena arising from spatial folding, connectivity, boundaries and singularities.

Players confront the limits of formal logic: encountering self‑reference, logical loops and the inherent incompleteness of systems. One must distinguish axioms from deductions and paradoxes, and seek coherent interpretations amid contradictions.

Symmetry and transformation are explored: identifying invariant core properties amid shifts of state, and grasping how symmetry gives rise to order.

Dynamics of dynamical systems are also present: simple fixed rules yield unpredictable complex behaviour, letting players observe system tendencies, oscillations and emergence.

The whole experience mirrors the thought process of theoretical researchers: observing anomalous phenomena, forming hypotheses, falsifying or refining them using in‑game evidence, discarding outdated mental models, and constructing new logical frameworks consistent with this world.
