Why Early Access?

“We’ve been developing the game for quite some time and feel that the current version already offers a fun and enjoyable experience. However, there are still several advanced mechanics, systems, and features we want to implement before the game can be considered fully complete.

By launching in Early Access, we can involve the community directly in the development process. Player feedback will help us balance gameplay, refine existing systems, and shape the game in the best possible direction as we continue expanding the experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to keep the game in Early Access for a year at least, in order to create and refine the features that we have planned for the final version of The Blighted Frontier”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to expand in-game building and survival systems. We’d also like the full version of the game to contain features such as: random events, survivor relationships, expanded technology tree and more”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game has the following systems: player building, resource management, a playable biome, hunting, technology research, building upgrades, item production, enemy hordes, trader NPC ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We expect the price to increase slightly after Early Access. As development continues, The Blighted Frontier will grow into a more complete experience with additional content, mechanics, and polish. Players who join during Early Access will be able to get the game at a lower price while also helping shape its development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is one of the main reasons we’re bringing The Blighted Frontier to Early Access. We want players to actively help shape the game’s future by sharing feedback, reporting issues, suggesting features, and discussing balance and gameplay systems.

We plan to stay closely connected with the community throughout development, with most communication taking place through our Discord server and the Steam Community Hub. Player input will play a major role in helping us refine mechanics, prioritize improvements, and guide the overall direction of the game”

About This Game

The world didn't end it became blighted. 

humanity clings to survival in a land overrun. The dead wander, The living struggle. And every decision you make determines whether your settlement thrives… or collapses.

You begin with only a handful of survivors and a broken down RV in an unforgiving wilderness. What starts as a makeshift camp must become something more.

Shelter must be built, food must be secured, and order must be established in a world where chaos is the natural state. Every structure you place, every resource you gather, and every decision you make shapes the future of your settlement.

BUILD YOUR SETTLEMENT

Begin with a small encampment and grow it into a fully functioning settlement.

  • Construct homes, workshops, and defenses

  • Upgrade buildings through multiple tiers

  • Design efficient layouts for survival and production

  • Expand outward into dangerous, resource-rich territory

Your people are the heart of your settlement. They are not just workers, but individuals struggling to survive. They grow, specialize, and adapt based on the task you assign them. A skilled hunter can mean the difference between starvation and survival. A dedicated builder can turn weak defenses into a fortified stronghold. But they are also vulnerable. Fatigue, hunger, and fear can break them just as easily as the threats outside your walls.

  • Manage needs: hunger, health, morale

  • Develop skills and specialization over time

Raw materials must be refined, tools must be crafted, and systems must be built to sustain a growing population. Traders may arrive with opportunities, offering rare goods and new paths forward, but relying on the outside world is never without risk.
