What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We have one map, one lizard, and zero chill. Lizard Simulator is the kind of game that gets funnier the more people break it — and we want you breaking it early. We don't know what's going to be hilarious yet. You do. Come find out with us.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“3 to 6 months. Maybe less if you're really annoying about it in the forums. Maybe more if we get distracted making the tongue physics weirder.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Right now you get one map, a lizard, and the power to ruin a town's entire day. That's already pretty good. But we're planning new maps, more NPCs to traumatize, more things to destroy, a light story mode (the lizard has lore, trust), and maybe multiplayer — because one lizard causing chaos is funny, two lizards causing chaos is a disaster, and that's exactly what we want.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“It works. The lizard moves. The tongue grabs things. The NPCs scream. Objects fly. Sometimes the lizard goes ragdoll for no reason and honestly that's our favorite part too. It is a complete sandbox experience. It is also completely unhinged. Both things are true.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Price goes up as content goes up. Get in now while we're still in our humble era.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're going to read every single Steam discussion post, every comment, every 'this is stupid' and every 'this is the best thing I've ever seen' — and we're going to use all of it. Your chaos moments will shape this game. If you break something in a really funny way, there's a decent chance we keep it. This is that kind of game.”

About This Game

You're a lizard. The town had a great morning planned. Not anymore.

Lizard Simulator is a physics-driven chaos sandbox where you are, scientifically speaking, a problem. Run through streets, climb buildings, grab civilians with your tongue, go completely ragdoll off a rooftop, and watch an entire neighborhood lose its mind — all in the first five minutes.

There is no goal. There is no wrong answer. There is only the LIZARD.

A Real Simulator™

We studied the great simulators. Truck. Farming. Goat. Bus. Washing. Market. We then ignored most of them. What you have here is a fully accredited, scientifically rigorous lizard experience. The lizard has a tongue. The tongue has reach. The reach has consequences.

Cause Chaos Your Way

Tongue grab a market stall and fling it into traffic. Climb a building and swan dive into a crowd. Whip someone who was just standing there minding their own business. Go ragdoll mid-sprint for absolutely no reason. We support all playstyles, as long as your playstyle is destruction.

Watch the World Fall Apart

NPCs in this town are not prepared for you. One person sees you and panics. That panic spreads. Within seconds the whole street is screaming, running, and deeply reconsidering their life choices. You did that. You should feel proud.

Find Every Secret

We hid things. Weird things. We're not going to tell you what they are. Explore every corner, find every interaction, and rack up combo scores while you do it. Some secrets are funny. Some are stupid. Some are both. That's the good stuff.

Key Features

  • Tongue that should probably not work this well

  • Ragdoll toggle — go limp anytime, anywhere, for any reason

  • Wall climbing because why not

  • Destructible objects everywhere because obviously

  • NPC panic chain reactions that never get old

  • Score system with combos and secret bonuses

  • Achievements that judge your life choices

  • One open sandbox map absolutely packed with things to ruin

Early Access

Lizard Simulator launches in Early Access with the full core sandbox experience.

What's in the game now:

  • One open map

  • One lizard

  • Tongue, tail, ragdoll, wall climbing

  • NPC panic system and combo scoring

We're building the rest of the game around what you find funny, what breaks in unexpected ways, and what players actually want to see. Your chaos shapes what comes next.

We are a very small team. The lizard is our entire personality right now. Please be nice to us. Also please break everything.
