About This Game

Spectrakin is a retro-inspired monster-taming RPG centred on three main elements:

• Team-building: Catch, train, and build a team of unique Spectrakin, with growth systems that influence their strengths in and out of battle, as well as their evolution paths.

• Adventure: Explore the diverse region of Eidolia, uncover hidden secrets, and discover what lies beyond the boundary between worlds.

• Town-development: Meet humans and Spectrakin on your journey, help them with their troubles, and convince them to join your town to unlock new facilities and upgrades.

Spectrakin are mysterious creatures from a parallel realm that drifts alongside our own. Though still not fully understood, one thing is clear: they share a unique affinity with humans, forming powerful bonds with those they trust.

Catch, train, and battle alongside a variety of unique Spectrakin, each with their own types, abilities, movesets, evolutions, and stats. From adorable critters to powerful beasts, your team is yours to build.

Across Eidolia, powerful factions known as the Orders shape the world around them. Each Order reveres a different elemental type of Spectrakin, and over time their shared origins have splintered into wildly different beliefs and ways of life.

On your journey, you’ll encounter the Orders and the strange societies they’ve built around themselves, including:

• The Order of the Worldroot: An isolated forest commune built around the remains of a colossal ancient beast.

• The Order of the Salvage: A decaying techno-settlement clinging to the ruins of lost technology.

• The Order of the Hollowrot: An underground enclave where rogue alchemists experiment with toxic Spectrakin.

As you travel between the domains of the Orders, you’ll take on their powerful leaders in battle, testing both your team-building and strategy.

When you first arrive in Eidolia, you reach a small, quiet settlement long past its heyday. It will act as your home base for your travels, and you can gradually help restore it to prosperity.

Throughout your travels, you’ll encounter a wide cast of characters, including wandering travellers, Order deserters, and Spectrakin searching for a place to belong. Help them, and they may choose to settle in your town, opening shops, farms, training facilities, or entirely new ways to customise and strengthen your team.

The way you raise your Spectrakin matters. Beyond simply gaining levels, every Spectrakin develops through three key systems:

• Battle Stats – Traditional combat attributes such as Attack, Defence, & Speed, determining their strengths in battle.

• Personality Traits – Non-combat attributes that influence how effective a Spectrakin is at certain activities, such as learning new moves or helping you catch other Spectrakin.

• Happiness – A reflection of your bond with your Spectrakin. Happiness is influenced by the way you treat them, from the foods you feed them to the places you take them and the battles they experience.

The combination of these factors can unlock different evolution paths, allowing members of the same species to grow into very different forms.
