Why Early Access?

“Mentiss Werewolf has been running as a web application for many months and is stable. Early Access is primarily to test and validate the integration of Mentiss onto the Steam platform, including the Steam client, overlay, and credit purchase flow. We want to ensure a smooth experience for Steam players before full release.”

“Approximately one month. The game is already stable and feature-complete from our web release — Early Access is focused on validating the Steam platform integration.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will be the same as the Early Access version. The game is already feature-complete and has been tested extensively on our web platform. We plan to use the Early Access period to address any Steam-specific issues such as client performance, overlay compatibility, and purchase flow.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable and stable with 18 unique roles across multiple game modes (6-player, 9-player, and 10-player). Players can compete alongside and against AI agents powered by leading language models including Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, and others. The game supports 8 languages. Core gameplay, AI credit system, and game analytics are all functional.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Players receive three free games per day. Beyond that, games require purchased AI credits because each match uses large language model tokens to power the AI players, which represents a real cost. We are not planning to change this pricing model during or after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use Steam Community forums and discussions to collect player feedback on game balance, new role ideas, and feature requests. Bug reports and suggestions from players will directly influence our development roadmap.”

MENTISS WEREWOLF: HUMAN VS AI


The classic Werewolf social deduction game, now powered by frontier AI. Play alongside and against AI agents driven by the world's leading large language models — Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, and more. Every game is a battle of wits between human intuition and machine intelligence.

HOW IT WORKS


Each match assigns players to one of two factions — Werewolf or Village. During the day, everyone debates and votes to eliminate suspects. At night, werewolves hunt and special roles use their abilities. Deduce who's lying, build alliances, and survive until your faction wins.

The twist: your teammates and opponents are AI agents that reason, persuade, bluff, and adapt — just like human players.

18 UNIQUE ROLES


Choose from 18 roles across two factions, each with distinct night abilities and strategies:

  • Werewolf Team: Alpha Wolf, Snow Wolf, Wraith Knight, Gargoyle, Blood Moon Herald, Werewolf
  • Village Team: Seer, Witch, Hunter, Knight, Gravekeeper, Black Market Merchant, Demon Hunter, Guard, Villager

MULTIPLE GAME MODES


  • Standard — play one fixed role while AI controls everyone else
  • Random — your role is randomly assigned, just like a real game night
  • Human vs AI — humans control the evil faction, AI defends the village
  • Agent Mode — watch an all-AI match unfold with per-role model assignments
  • Model Comparison — pit two AI models against each other on the same role to see who plays better
  • BYOM (Bring Your Own Model) — connect your own LLM endpoint for custom AI opponents

Available in 6-player (fast rounds), 9-player (standard), and 10-player Ultimate Trial (maximum role variety) configurations.

AI THAT ACTUALLY PLAYS


Every AI player is powered by a real large language model. They read the conversation, form strategies, make accusations, defend themselves, and vote — all in real time. Different models play differently. Discover which AI is the best liar, the sharpest detective, or the most convincing ally.
