Withering State is a narrative-driven political RPG that follows Premier Alexander Sants as he ascends to lead the People's Republic of Sudlivia in a dangerous time. The Chairman is dead, the Party is more divided than ever, and the neighboring Eastern Bloc is crumbling under the weight of its own reforms. You must navigate a cutthroat Party apparatus, find your place within a shifting web of international alliances, and oversee a stagnant economic system on the verge of sliding into collapse. Your choices will not only chart the course for the five brotherly nations of Sudlivia, but could determine whether you end up as the Chairman of the state, or just another political prisoner...

• Build personal relationships with friends, allies, and even lovers, or go it alone by destroying them

Deploy state resources to implement economic programs, make deals with neighboring states, or launch military operations as you are tasked with untangling the crises that Sudlivia faces.

• Manage a state budget and fully dynamic economy 

• Make decisions to invest in different regions, industries, and reforms to implement your vision

• Shape Sudlivia's place in the world by choosing to meet with different leaders, or to move against them

Take sides in the Party's debates on Maxovist theory, or attempt to break the shackles of ideology by guiding the state toward liberal democracy, authoritarian personalism, or perhaps something new.

• Balance the needs of different Party factions and national politicians as divisions threaten to tear Sudlivia apart

• Form alliances with those seeking to set Sudlivia down a path of reform, or seize power to save the Party
