A strategic, narrative horror roguelike. You've been given a briefing on Site-19. Most of it is ████. You'll investigate anomalies you wish you hadn't, fight what you couldn't prepare for, and sacrifice more than you planned. Then you'll start a new story. Maybe this time you'll know better.

About This Game

Your job isn't to win. It's to decide what you're willing to lose.

Beyond any government's reach, a secret organization contains the most dangerous supernatural threats on Earth. Things that could reshape reality, corrode sanity, or destroy entire nations if they breach containment. You just accepted a position you can't quit.

Choose your apocalypse. Every scenario pits you against a different existential threat. Investigate anomalies, contain creatures, and make morally questionable decisions as entropy tears your facility apart.

You Don't Know What You're Fighting

Every creature starts with it's details hidden behind ████. You don't know its name. You don't know what it does. You don't know how to hurt it. Your loadout locks before the fight begins. Match the creature's hidden vulnerabilities and your weapons tear through it. Choose wrong and your best gear does almost nothing.

Study a creature to reveal hidden traits. Talk to it through branching dialogue that can expose weaknesses or make things worse. Contain it, destroy it, or flee. Every path is viable. None of them are safe.

Creatures you contain are documented permanently. Every trait revealed. Every vulnerability exposed. The next time you face it, you'll be ready.

Four Phases. One Is Yours.

Reinforce the breach or pursue the objective. Recruit an ally or stockpile for what's coming. Spend the round investigating or pray that ignoring the anomaly doesn't cost you the mission.

Your Turn: Three actions. A dozen emergencies. Something is always getting worse while you deal with something else.

Encounters: End your turn in any location to face unique narrative encounters. Resources, allies, items, improved abilities. If you make the right decisions.

Anomalies: Every round, they count down. At zero, they become greater threats and start roaming the facility. Some hunt you down. Some damage the facility. They don't stop.

Entropy: Quiet at first. Until it isn't. Lockdowns seal off entire wings. Failures cascade from one system to the next. At 100%, the scenario's final threat arrives. It doesn't care how prepared you are.

Every decision costs something. Every round, the list of things you can't afford to lose gets shorter.

Between Runs

New operatives and scenarios unlock, expanding the encounters, creatures, and crises the facility can throw at you.

Key Features

- No jumpscares. No grinding. Just the mounting pressure of a facility falling apart faster than you can hold it together.

- 100+ classified creatures. Hidden traits. Branching dialogue. Multiple resolutions.

- Punishing combat built on information, not stats. Know the creature or lose to it.

- Hundreds of unique encounters, anomalies, creatures, NPCs, items, and crises. Every session assembles a different disaster.

- Every round has four phases. Only one belongs to you. The other three belong to the facility.

- Strategic horror built around the one-hour session. Short enough to play on a weeknight. Deep enough to think about the next day.

- Permanent creature database. Contain it once, know it forever.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

This game was designed, assembled, and produced by a solo developer. All user interfaces, HUD elements, menus, and icons were created entirely by hand or using purchased/licensed human-created assets.

Creature/Character artwork and location backgrounds were created using AI image generation as a base, then manually edited, composited, and enhanced through multiple rounds of post-processing often including hand-painted modifications and layered visual effects to achieve the final in-game art. No AI-generated image was used without significant manual modification.

A small number of brief cutscene clips were created using AI video generation, then hand-edited and assembled with custom effects and transitions.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

SCP - The Anomaly is a horror strategy game set in the SCP Foundation universe. The following mature content is present:

Violence & Gore (Fantasy/Creature Only): Some anomalous creature animations depict blood, exposed organs, and unnatural body formations. All graphic visuals involve fictional monsters and anomalies -- there are no depictions of humans being actively harmed on screen. Violence against human characters occurs only through text descriptions and gameplay outcomes, never visually.

Graphic Text Descriptions: Written content includes detailed descriptions of body horror, biological mutation, psychological trauma, and character death. The SCP Foundation source material deals with containment of dangerous anomalies, and text descriptions can be intense -- including body transformation, loss of bodily autonomy, and lethal encounters.

Psychological Horror: The game explores themes of existential dread, psychological manipulation, moral dilemmas with lethal consequences, and characters experiencing trauma from anomalous exposure.

Mild Language: Occasional mild profanity in character dialogue (e.g., "damn," "hell") used in context.

No Sexual Content. The game contains no sexual content, nudity, sexual violence, or drug/alcohol abuse.
