About This Game

Skylane is an airline tycoon where you never touch the plane's controls. You do the job that actually decides whether an airline lives: which city pairs to serve, how often, with which aircraft, and who is qualified to crew them.

Start with one hub and one aircraft. Draw a route, lay flights across the week, hire a captain and a first officer rated on the type, and wait for the first load factor to come back. Then you scale operations, but all while fuel prices move, airframes age, and rival carriers expand into the markets you were saving for later.

Every screen is one keystroke away and the clock stops whenever you want it to. The question is never whether you can see the whole airline at once. It is whether you can still explain, after 10 years running your company, why every aircraft is exactly where it is supposed to be.

ONE ROUTE IS A DECISION. TWO HUNDRED IS AN AIRLINE

  • Open a route anywhere your aircraft can reach, and live with the range and payload it costs you
  • Routes mature. Demand builds over weeks, so a thin first month is not always a failure
  • Track load factor, weekly revenue and weekly profit per leg, and cut the ones that never turn
  • Every market you enter, you enter against a carrier already flying it

EVERY AIRCRAFT HAS ITS CALENDAR

  • Drag flights onto a seven-day calendar grid: add, duplicate, and mind the turnaround of our routes
  • Each airframe carries its own hours, cycles, condition and utilisation
  • Plan A, B, C and D checks yourself, or lose an aircraft to maintenance in the worst possible week
  • Ferry aircraft between bases when the network shifts underneath them

NO CREW, NO FLIGHT

  • Hire captains, first officers, cabin chiefs and flight attendants, base by base
  • Cockpit crew are type-rated. A pilot who cannot fly the aircraft is payroll, not capacity
  • Cabin crew work any type, which makes them the flexibility in your roster
  • Under-staff a base and flights cancel, on-time performance slides, and reputation follows it down

THE MARKET DOES NOT WAIT

  • Budget, legacy and aggressive AI airlines keep expanding while you deliberate
  • The market board ranks every carrier by fleet, network and profitability, including yours
  • Fuel price moves week to week. Build depots at your airports and buy when it is low
  • Payroll, maintenance and financing run whether an aircraft flies or not

BUILT FOR THE OPS DESK

  • Every screen is one keystroke away, with no menus hiding the number you need
  • Pause whenever you like, then run the clock at different speeds
  • Dense and monospace by design, built to be read at a glance rather than admired
  • A campaign week takes about twenty minutes, so a lunch break can be a productive session
  • Steam Achievements, Cloud saves, and original soundtrack
