What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This is a huge and ambitious project for a really tiny studio. We want to take our time and make sure we've done everything right and shaped in just the way it needs to be. Join us on this ride and help to build the world of High Octane Drift.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It's kind of difficult for us to plan estimated time of arrival, no luck with timing anyway. Cool scientific formulas say it's going to be no more than eight months. Maybe ten.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We would like to make a good looking, easy scaling game about competitive drifting racing and car-loving community. For that, we need to test and polish lots of features and produce some content for that features before going full. You know, like online Drifting Series, based on eSports with rich stats feature (all of it deserves a chapter); teams, filled with reasonable meaning; more sensible modding tools and pipelines. To end it and show off our ambitions I say we want to research the possibilities to extend our "meetup scene" to something more open-world-ish. Not NMS ambitious.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“It's totally playable. You can drift with others, buy cars, trade em, tune them with more than 1500+ aftermarket parts, make your own liveries, participate in certain events and some other things. General updates, like drifting series and teams already giving roots and waited to be tested.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Micro-transaction prices shouldn't change drastically.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Actually, it was the community of VK.com players, which helped us to shape the future of the game. We are heavily relying on a community and would like to make the most of Steam Workshop tools.
We've already implemented the ability to preview and upload car models to Steam Workshop (will open this feature in no time after Early Access release). We would like some gearheads to tune new cars, so we're going to produce tools for that. Also, we're researching a pipeline for those, who would like to submit new tracks to us.”
