About This Demo

Rotary Knights is a WWI pilot-life tactical RPG in active development. This Steam demo is a focused, evolving slice of that work.

Plan a route across a living Western Front, choose your altitude and attack commitment, fly an objective-driven tactical mission, then bring the consequences back to the aerodrome.

Plan the Sortie

The operational map shows outbound and return routes, fuel, threats, objectives, and recovery fields before takeoff. Local pressure responds to reconnaissance, interceptions, losses, and completed missions.

Fight for the Objective

Turn-based hex combat puts altitude, heading, firing angles, ammunition, aircraft damage, and mission state on one readable board.

• Balloon Bust asks you to destroy a persistent observation target under fighter and anti-aircraft pressure, then fly home.
  
• Cloud Cover turns connected cloud banks into tactical terrain that can break contact and replace perfect information with a last-known position.
  
• Trench Strafing makes entry altitude, attack commitment, ground fire, and withdrawal part of the same mission.

Mouse and keyboard controls both cover the complete tactical loop.

Bring the Consequences Home

Pilot wounds, aircraft damage, ammunition, objective state, local influence, and War Diary consequences survive the mission. Aerodrome scenes and the demo service record reflect choices made inside this focused slice.

About This Demo

This demo showcases systems currently in development. It is not the full six-act campaign. The broader 1914–1918 career, full aircraft roster, expanded event pool, and wider squadron systems remain development work for Rotary Knights.
