What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Norius is in Early Access because the core workflow is already usable, but the product is still growing in ways that can be meaningfully shaped by community feedback.

The current version already supports avatar search, favorites, recently used avatars, account linking, and Steam sign-in, but I still plan to expand how users organize avatars, improve discovery and workflow tools, grow customization options, and continue developing account and notification systems around real user needs.

Early Access is the stage where I want active users to help decide which of those directions matter most in practice. The goal is not only to improve stability, but to use real feedback to shape which features are expanded, which workflows are streamlined, and which parts of Norius become central in the full version.

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“Roughly 4 to 8 months, although that may change depending on development progress, stability goals, and community feedback.

Norius is being developed by a small team, and some planned systems or workflow improvements may take longer than expected. I would rather leave the software in Early Access longer than move it to a full release before its larger feature direction feels settled.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include a broader and more settled feature set than the current Early Access version.

That includes deeper avatar organization tools, stronger discovery and search workflow improvements, more complete customization options, more mature account and sync flows, and a better developed notification and quality-of-life layer around the main desktop workflow.

The full version should not only be more polished and stable, but also more complete in what it helps users do on a day-to-day basis.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version already supports the core Norius workflow and is usable today for VRChat users who
want a desktop companion for avatar-related tasks.

Right now, Norius supports avatar search, favorites management, recently used avatar review, Norius account login,
Steam account linking and sign-in, and cloud-linked account data.

However, several surrounding systems, workflow tools, convenience features, and longer-term feature priorities are
still evolving. Early Access users are getting access to the current core experience while also helping shape which
parts of Norius are expanded and prioritized for the full version.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The planned price is intended to remain the same during Early Access and after full release.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is very important to the development of Norius.

I plan to use player feedback to understand which parts of the software are most useful, which workflows need improvement, which account and search tools need to grow, and which quality-of-life features should be prioritized.

Feedback from users who actively use Norius as part of their VRChat workflow will directly influence the order and direction of future updates. Not every suggestion will be implemented exactly as requested, but real usage feedback will be a major part of deciding what the full version becomes.

About This Software

Norius is a desktop companion designed for VRChat users who want a more practical way to work with avatars outside the

headset.

Instead of depending on several separate tools and repeating the same searches, Norius gives you a single desktop

workflow for finding avatars, organizing what matters, and returning to avatars you used recently.

You can search avatars by name or creator, keep your favorites organized, review recently used avatars, and manage

your linked Norius account from one place.

The Steam edition also supports Steam sign-in. If you already use a Norius account, you can link Steam to that account

and continue using your cloud-linked data in one place.

Key Features

- Search avatars by name or creator from a desktop-focused interface.

- Save and organize favorites in your linked Norius account.

- Review recently used avatars for faster return access in repeat sessions.

- Link Steam with an existing Norius account and keep cloud-linked data together.

- Manage supported VRChat account usage from one place.

- Customize the interface for a workflow that fits longer desktop sessions.

Important Notes

- A Norius account is used for cloud-linked data and account syncing.

- Steam sign-in can be linked to an existing Norius account.

- This software is not affiliated with or endorsed by VRChat.
