Imperial Wager: The Shattered Crown of Augustus is a macro-level feudal grand strategy game where absolute control is a myth. Centuries after the fall of the First Emperor, the god-blessed Crown of Augustus lies shattered, its volatile shards sealed within surviving, half-broken relics scattered across the realm.

To claim the empty throne, you must master these enigmatic devices—navigating a high-stakes system of risk, unpredictable AI delegation, and geopolitical gambling. Operating from your Regent’s Keep, you will manipulate your treasury, draft mandates, and manage your vassals, watching as a bloody war of swords and subversion dynamically unfolds across the procedurally generated realm.

You can dictate every sword swing and tax collection yourself—but trying to micromanage a decades-long conquest will drain you quickly. A true Dominus knows better; they set the stakes, delegate the rest, and play the odds.

Key Features:

Command the Realm (Card Mechanics):

Wars are not fought with drawn swords, but with Imperial Mandates. Draw from your faction’s deck and project your will directly onto the map. Each card projects a specific geometric shape, challenging you to cleverly overlap effects to quell Unrest, purge Venality, and spread your Influence.

Delegate to Feudal Vassals (AI Management):

To truly expand the empire, you must entrust power to the officials in your cabinet. The vassals you assign bring their own distinct personalities to the table, eventually melding into a collective Faction Psyche. This overarching psychology forms the underlying logic of your state, guiding how your autonomous AI behaves and reacts to the shifting world. You provide the stakes; they roll the dice.

Rig the House Odds (Spatial Puzzles):

Rebuild the lost laws of antiquity. Fit geometric, Tetris-like Tenet blocks into the Monolith of Edicts to literally weave the rules of your fiefdom. By customizing these physical laws, you dictate the overarching strategy of your campaign. You must weigh powerful tradeoffs and constantly adapt your state's engine to navigate shifting eras, tilting the cosmic odds in your favor.

Consult the Relics (Risk & Reward):

The First Emperor left behind esoteric devices to calculate fate. Funding your empire and uncovering rare mandates relies heavily on consulting these ancient, unpredictable machines. Every relic boasts its own distinct probability mechanics and risk-versus-reward systems. Wager your wealth to awaken them, but beware the volatile whims of fortune.

Asymmetric Feudal Factions:

Play as one of several distinct medieval powers fighting over the remnants of Rome. Whether you rely on the heavy cavalry of House Aquila, the bureaucratic purges of House Valerius, or the shadow-subversion of the Frumentarii Cult, you must adapt your gambling style to survive the Dark Ages.
